I got a BENQ XL2720t (27" 1080p, 120hz, 1ms) a few months ago and have loved it so far... this was coming from a Dell Ultrasharp 24" 09 model. I must say I was very skeptical on the pixel size going from 1200p 24" to 1080p 27" but I have no issues at all with the desktop size... if anything...
What kinda temps are you guys averaging for the NB on load? Is 50C seem normal after an hour of gaming? I have no fan on it at this time, but will add an antec spot cool shortly.
I've used true image at work and home, it is actually a great program for imaging and backups. Very fast, good compression and easy to use, especially when loading an image from scratch.
Im trying to determine whether i should mount my Corsair PSU in the Antec 900 fan down or fan facing up? Installed fan down, it is pretty much flush with the floor of the case, so im worried it wont be able to suck any air and cool properly. Yet when i read some online reviews, they mount the...
Question for you guys... Im making a new system with E6600 and P5N-E soon. I'm looking to have the processor clocked around 3ghz all said and done, but i have some worries on what CPU coolers fit this motherboard properly? It sounds like the MB heatsink is larger than usual, and has issues...
Can someone give me some recommendations on good remote logging software (monitoring internet activity, screenshots of desktop, instant messaging etc...) Being able to monitor this remotely would be a plus. Thanks.
I've been running the 7000b-alcu for around 2 years now and it has been great so far. The basic differences between the alcu and cu is weight mostly. The CU is a few hundred grams heavier and i believe cools about 2-3C better from the complete copper design. This can be evened out though by...
Zalman vf900 all the way. I have two of them and they are worlds better than stock in terms of performance and sound. Yes they come with ram heat sinks too.
Hmm, i bought two of the SC cards on launch day and have not had any artifacting probs here... isnt terribly surprising though considering no stock memory cooling and very high mem clocks.
I've been looking at purchasing a 50" Samsung DLP TV and have read conflicting reviews that playing xbox, ps2, xbox360 etc... have some issues with lag on screen? Is this a DLP TV issue itself? Anyone with a DLP TV and does console gaming have any problems like this?
I put two vf900's on recently and my idle temps are between 33-40C depending on ambient temp. Best part is they are totally silent, my stock clocks are 550/1580.
I put two vf900's on my 7900GT's the other day as well. Very impressed so far, they are as quiet if not quieter than the NV silencers i used on 7800GT's. Idle temps were in the low-mid 30's and load temps after a few 3dmark runs were in the low 50's. Good stuff.
I have two 7900GT SC's without any problems yet. I purchased them on the first day and got the initial batch as well. I too will definitely be replacing the stock HSF tho, its way too loud.
I did the same thing last week. Just uninstall the display drivers in the control panel, install new card, then download or install the newest drivers with 7900 support.
The 7900GT does run cooler, but because the fan is so small, it is fairly loud. This is coming from my previous 7800GT's with nv silencers, so they were very quiet. I think im going to get the zalman vf900's when they are released to help with the noise.
I've had the P160 for around 2 years now and its been one of the better cases i've owned. With front/rear 120mm fans, cooling is great, my only grip is it could be a bit quieter as noise can go through the front bezel easily. I use 3-speed antec DBB fans for front and rear so i can adjust the...
FEAR had more eerie and scary moments then Doom did for me IMO. D3 had way too many "boo" moments like someone said, and was the same thing over and over, with trap doors flying open behind you and whatnot. I must say that D3 did have a fantastic atmosphere and good sound.
Heh i broke down and bought two of these superoverclocked to replace my current GT's... 550/1580 are huge clocks over what the reference card does. I just had to jump on this lol.
Ya still cant beat a good CRT in terms of refresh rates and resolution choices. I have a discontinued viewsonic 22" P225F and im runnning 1600x1200 @ 100hz rather comfortably.
I picked it up for XBOX and it runs great. I'm actually very impressed they could pull off such a game using 5+ year old hardware at this point, a 360 version would be phenominal.
I use compressed air all the time at work, but clumps of dust get everywhere, so id like something that wont create static and can clean up the process.
I'm looking for a semi-powerful computer vacuum to get. Nothing extra expensive, but good enough to do the job... i hear the smaller battery ones are a total waste. Thanks.
The viewsonic G225FB has some nice specs. I have a discontinued Viewsonic 22" P225F with similiar specs and its a fantastic monitor. I have not used any of their graphics series though.
I got my copy a few days ago, and have been playing through the original red alert again (havent done so in 5+ years). Brings back some good memories, this was the game that got me into RTS. Kinda cool too, they fit the entire series on one DL DVD.
I dont know how soon you need this data transfered, but how about burning the data to a DVD and sending it priority mail? Thats if either of you have relatively slow connections.
I played through COD2 with my setup @ 1600x1200 2xAA and options on high and it stayed consistently in the 40's and low 50's. Certain parts of the game would drop in framerate due to heavy smoke but overall it was smooth throughout.
