Thanks - appreciate it. Still waiting for parts to arrive but putting it together in a week or so's time. Im sure I will have more q's then! lol
It is on DOTD at scan all the time (the Q6600) - got that and the mobo and the fan fo £295 delivered :)
I paid £135 for the Q6600 which I thought was a good price. NEARLY went for the P5Q3 deluxe but didnt think the extra £15 was worth it as over budget already!!
Only using my old MSI NX7900 GTO PCI-E card as think its good enough for what I need for now. Hope it works! :)
I just purchsed this MOBO - But originally got the Pro 7 cooler with it. Will be sending it back due to the fitting issue. Have replaced it with tha Akasa AK 965. Anyone forsee any problems?

I had lots of memor problems with OCZ.Turned out to be faulty memory. Have now had it replaced and it is running with the optimal settings in the bios with no problems. Need to email OCZ again soon though for best settings...
Hello all,
Well, my PC has been up and running for 2 weeks now with my newly replaced memory - no problems (touch wood!). Quake 4 runs like a dream...
Now for overclocking it and getting the graphics card speed right! :) :)
Thanks for all the support,
D
Heya,
Could you tell me how much you paid for this please? Am thinking of taking my PSU back tp PC world as faulty (well, it seems to spike and mess my speakers/memory up and has had very bad reports - should never have been released!) and getting this one instead! :) May opt for the 600...
Oh great - that just made my day! I wish reviews that recommend this product would do a bit more thorough tests! :(. 55 quid wasted then as I cant take this power supply back now (out of 30 day trial time by 3 days). Joy! It has worried me quite a bit...
Have finished setting up the bios now more or less as per this link. It has speeded up my boot times no end.

Now waiting patiently for 2 weeks for my fast...

Hello,
Have just checked and I have version 6.65 of the drivers installed - should I install 6.66? Would that help some problems?
Also - found it in the Add/Remove software console. No IDE listed there though :|
Cheers,
D
Thanks for your swift reply wanderer :)
I did install the IDE drivers yeah - it was before I found this forum - oh no... are they easy to uninstall? Surprised it makes a difference before windows loads...
Also got the drive connected to SATA1 - will move it to 3. Not OC'ing at the moment...
One other thing - the AMD 64 3700+ isnt listed as a supported CPU but seems to work fine. Could this be the problem? It is a reletively new CPU I think so that may be why its not listed?
Hello all,
My first post - mostly thanks to the wonders of the SLI Premium board :|
I bought this board about a month ago. It ran for 2 weeks without a problem - everything running like a dream with upgraded drivers (never used the firewall as I use zonealarm).
Then it all went wrong...
