The battery backups on some of them have certainly saved me some strife. However, I've never had any electronic device damaged or destroyed by lightning or surges/spikes, either with a protector or not.
You'll get next to nothing for the Dreamcast since they [Eb] were selling them new for $50.
Although a trade-in would be much quicker, selling your consoles privately through classifieds,
ebay or the for sale/trade forum would get you considerably more (like 50-100% more).
Hey,
I recently won myself a new Alcatel Speedtouch DSL Modem off of eBay for about
$47 Cdn ($32 USD) and unfortunately the seller shipped it to me via UPS. Many of
us already know that shipping items to Canada via UPS is a terrible thing to do
- and this proved to be no exception, with the...
I had my contract placed on probation once for an incredibly lame reason, offered to resign on
the spot, and watched to my great amusement as both my boss and his boss immediately began
to backpedal. I left anyway. :)
I agree with those who have said that will look totally out of place in the NYC skyline.
Look At View 2
Those two very distinct skyline gaps won't look good at all, and the colors need to go.
She hasn't looked too hot since "The Mask".
Oh and...
6. The editing was terrible
7. The post-production work was dodgy, and those ending credits were worse than amateur
Aside from the first 5 minutes and Daniel Day Lewis, GoNY was a bad movie. If it weren't
for Martin Scorsese's name being...
Yeah, he was awesome in that movie. Such a shame that the film's story didn't focus on
the conflict between him and Priest (Liam Neeson), that would have been 10x better.
They [the rumors] are saying that it will happen around E3 and will coincide with the
North American release of the PS2 harddrive. The rumored prices are $149.99 for the
console, or $199 for the console w/ harddrive (and potentially the BB adapter as well).
Worst ending I've seen was Chrono Cross for the PSX. You play through a 40-odd hour RPG
only to get a black screen with "The End", unless of course, you pulled off some incredibly
un-intuitive magic combination string to get the "real" ending. The disgust comes back any
time I think about that game.
Western is best known for business and medicine. From your list, I'd say that Waterloo, UofT and
Queens have the best reputations. UBC is also known for engineering... however that could just
be because they do high profile things such as hanging VW's from well known bridges.
I'm surprised by how many people didn't get the reference considering that there was
like a 2-3 minute segment talking about how "the two towers had joined forces...".
I've lived in Canada all my life and nobody except the manufacturers use the L/100Km
crap, everybody else either uses MPG or the words great, good, bad and brutal to describe
their vehicle's fuel efficiency.
MS Publisher will have wizards for making cards, envelopes and so on... and will be much easier
to work with for the average user. InDesign and the like are for professional print work.
