Need Opinions....

Right now my computer is running a 1.8ghz AMD 3000+ processor with 1GB of ram and integrated graphics (I know I'm poor). I sold my last PCI-E card, a 7900GT because I needed the money and when I had some again I ended up getting an Xbox 360. I'm thinking of getting back into the PC realm...

FX-53 or 7900GT???

I'm looking to upgrade my cpu and/or gpu. I have a 3000+ right now and if I stick with that I'll get the 7900GT. My other option is an FX-53 and a 7600GT. Which will be better for games?

I have an ECS RS480-M (I know everybody hates it but it works good for me). Anyways, I have a eVga 7800GT coming to me and I might even get a 7900GT. Has anyone with this or a similar setup had any problems?

Reselling on eBay...

Ok the card is new and unopened besides a removed UPC...I guess my question is should I just sell of the card I may have problems with to purchase a more reliable one or not? The seller doesn't have any written kind of return policy. I could E-Mail him I guess. What should I do?

I'm running Oblivion on Medium settings with 1024x768 res 2xAA, LOD on, Bloom on,but grass off. I just did a random benchmark with Fraps and here's my stats: 2006-03-23 02:05:36 - Oblivion Frames: 2246 - Time: 58101ms - Avg: 38.657 - Min: 23 - Max: 78 It seems typical but I do think it dips...

Just bought eVga 7800GT off of ebay...

on the back of the card underneath teh GPU is some sort of mount, I was just wondering if anyone has the card how thick it is. My Northbridge heatsink is kind of big and close to my pci-express slot. I have an ECS RS480 if thay helps

Warped Motherboard....

the mount below my CPU (on the underside of the motherboard is thicker than the space it is supposed to occupy between the case and the motherboard, because of this the motherboard warps up around the CPU. I've just noticed this but I've had the PC for 6 months no problems as of yet. I plan on...

LCD Monitor Problems

A friend of mine was having problems where her monitor would turn white for a time and then revert back to the normal image on and off but now when the computer powers up it just stays white. i've tried the monitor in several PCs and had the same problem. It's a dell E151FBb

Lighted Case Fans

I notice that the case fan next to my PSU flickers everynow and then. It is only off for a fraction of a second in the flickering but should I be concerned about this?

GPU Temp/Fanspeed

Idle My GPU's temp is 31c but the fan is at 4700 on autocool. When I play a game it rises about 5 degrees but the fan goes up to 5500. this is my first PCIe card is this normal?

I noticed that even when the temp would be reading very near 60 the heatsink still felt relatively cool. I'm going to stick with the stock HSF but I ordered some AS5 and I'm going to see if I can get a better connection with the cpu and lower the temps a bit. Would that void my AMD warranty? On...
