the 7000B-cu on an amd athlon 4000+ /msi k8n neo4 board. the stock amd cooler was really tight when i installed it, but the zalman moves around a bit. I would say about 3mm. the screws are as tight as i can get them.

Motherboard: DFI is a good choice. I have an MSI Platnium.
CPU: If you want to burn some cash, any FX is a good selection. Dual core chips will be (My opinion here) the way of the future, but for today's gaming I am not sure how much of a benefit it...
