Yep GFlops is quite low. Hers my 2500k @ 4.6GHz and 1866MHz ram.

Any info on the AData S599? Firmware upgrades on the way?

Upgraded my MicroCenter 64GB G2 SSD firmware 3.4.3 to 3.4.6 but sometimes when boot up, it can't detect the drive and a restart would fix that.

cpu heatsink not hot???

my e2140 under water was almost same temp as yours, but after i remove the ihs, my idle and load drop by 10C. so your temps consider to be normal.

running a 45nm quad on a asus p5k (or any p35 board)?

I am able to hit 500 x 9 on my P5k with E8400. GTL & northbridge references voltage affects the stability a lot..

Processor without heatsink?

Yes, you can test your CPU without heatsink as long as you leave the bios CPU settings to default so that the motherboard will shut down automatically once it reach to limit.

Hennethannun, Lopri, anyone E8400 to P5K deluxe wifi

Thermal compound come with manufacture heatsink are craps and not all the thermal compound are the same. Some are higher quality then others, as of right now, AS5 or Arctic Cooling MX-2 are the best. Also, I have a P5k Deluxe with E8400 and it works fine with my old bios 603 (newest 705...
