Thank in advance for your comments. I took the monitor and plugged it into another system, using that system's dvi cable and power. 'Voila. No issues. So I plugged the faulty monitor back to its correct system, making sure the cable was screwed on tight. Seems to be working fine. So...

Powerpoint problem

Solution: Change default printer. The printer driver attached to the system was not compatible with windows 7 and therefore caused the text to be stretched in Powerpoint presentations.

Powerpoint problem

The text on my powerpoint presentations is stretched. I haven't made any updates or changes to my computer. Every single file I open, shows the text incorrectly. When the files are opened on other computers, the text is correctly scaled. Web pages and other software show the text normally...

Deleted Partition

I am formating my hard drive and installing xp on my system, but accidentally had my external hard drive connected. When asked which partitions to delete, I deleted them all, including the partition(s) on my external drive. OH NO Now I cannot access any of my backed up...

I uninstalled the old drivers and reinstalled the new NVIDIA driver for my particular model. Now I have a new problem, massive choppiness ingame (world of warcraft). I wasn't having any graphics problems before....*sigh*

I'm taking the DVD/CD, HD and NVIDIA video card out of my son's computer and installing on new motherboard, CPU, PSU and case. Is it possible to upgrade the Windows '98 to XP Home without alot of glitches? Would I be better off (might have hard time troubleshooting) to simply buy a new OS...
