    HA HA, and Double HA HA

    Didn't know about this problem. My crucial memory always worked fine in my Gigabyte mobo. I've been able to boot up at default settings all along (1.8 volts at 5,5,5,15 settings). When I set it to 2.2 volts I change to 4,4,4,12 settings. Not a boot problem ever during the last 5 months.

    The 8800gt is probably the minimum that you would want to buy for today's games. If you can swing a gtx or ultra, go for it. I just ordered two of the MSI 8800gt cards from Dell for $207 each. That is a very good deal at this time when others are charging around $300 for gt cards.

    I guess it would depend on the games you play. It seems that a X1650 would be somewhat limited for today's games, unless you don't mind playing at lower resolutions.

    They cut my window a little smaller at my request so the hard drive cages didn't show as much. I would suggest that you consider this if you are like me and not really into seeing the hard drive cages through the windows.

    Those beeps may be "Power on Self Test Beep Codes" telling you something is wrong with your memory. http://www.pchell.com/hardware/beepcodes.shtml Try resetting your memory sticks.

    Did you mess with any of the settings in the bios? What bios are you using? Did you remember to select "Load Optimized Defaults" when you first started or updated your bios? After you load optimized defaults, you will need to reset your memory voltage and timings. But you shouldn't need that...

    Memtest will test your memory to make sure it is OK. I made up a bootable iso CD. I boot the system up with it in the DVD drive and it runs the tests. You need to let it run all the tests for at least 3 loops. If you don't get any errors, then your memory is OK. Start off with just the 2...

    It would be best to not put the value ram in there. It can't run at the same timings that the TWIN2X can. Are you familiar with memtest?

    You have enough power and the Corsair PSU are good ones. I like the Ballistix DDR2 800 ram. Are you using all four sticks together? If you are, try taking out the value sticks and run only on the two TwinsX 6400C4 ram.

    I and others have used the Corsair 620 which we have found fits real well in the P180/182 cases. It is a very good PSU.
