Nice, I just recived mine today too. I'm actually posting with it in portrait (document) mode right now. So far this monitor is a real beauty. And you can't beat it for ~25% off original price; FatWallet FTW ;)

Sounds like a classic case of: Party A: "We have x of y!" Party B: "Oh yeah, well we have Z of Y!!!...pwned n00bs!" Either way, that's a lot of transistors.

Maybe I should have clearified a bit on what I meant with the naming system, I think the first 2 numbers are great. Okay, insted of 1.8 dual proc being 2210, why not 2218. 2.6 8-way be 8226? It can just be confusing to someone who isn't in the know I guess. Personally to me and many others, this...

XGL vs Aero Glass

Xgl looks pretty, Aero has support. If you have the time ( which I don't ) for frequent crashes then xgl looks great. But for those of us who need a solid OS gnome / kde + xp works fine for me. I'm still excited for Vista though, but since it' still in beta, I don't bother using it exclusively.

I must just be stupid.

I agree with this. Simply put, a PC can do much more than just play games. I don't recall ps3 being able to program a database and manage server networks. Of course this being an extreme example, but the point is still there.
