Best Air Colling-System for OC and Gaming

I'd go for the Infinity but like Dribble said, they will all perform very close to each other and once you account for all the variables, its a toss up what cooler will work better for you.

Gogabyte Aurora 3D case..

Is there a difference between intake and exhaust fans?

a fan is a fan, just flip the 120mm fan to turn it into a exhaust fan. its pretty common nowadays for psus to have a bottom intake fan.

removable solution for attaching GPU ramsinks? Got thermal tape ordered

half as5 and half as5 adhesive should do the trick. This is common practice for those that reuse their ramsinks. Haven't heard of as5 adhesive and ceramique, but it might work too.

Someone help me put together a nice Liquid Cooling System.

120mm rad would be ideal, but the only place that carries 80mm rads that i know of is swiftech. maybe its time to mod your case to fit a 120mm rad? You can definitely build a great sub 200 dollar watercooled setup, but i wouldnt go for anything less then a single 120mm rad for gpu and...

Air or water cooling?

it all depends on your needs and your budget! If you are not going to push your system, then there are alot of great air coolers out there that will more than handle the job even at low noise levels. Look around on the forums to become more familiar with all the parts on the market.

Best case for gaming and water cooling?

dont forget to check out the gigabyte aurora case. It has some nifty water cooling features built in..... if you have a big budget, then i say check out the lian li V series and maybe even the Silverstone Temjin case.

pkme2 has some good points; sound like an airflow issue. You can definitely build a great, internal, water cooling system for under 300 bucks easily. Since you are only cooling the cpu, a single 120mm rad of your choice would be sufficient. The only issue you may have is noise as you need a...

Bought a maze4 intro wc kit today..

boshuter is right, DD doesnt make 7/16" barbs, only 1/2" or 3/8". Now, as trevor said, you can use 7/16" tubing with 1/2" barbs, and most people over at the XS forums prefer this, but im not exactly sure what you are talking concerning the barbs on your kit. Your kit should be all 1/2" barbs...

need help selecting a water cooling system

Im not going to tell you the advantages and disadvantages of buying a pre-made kit or a DIY kit, but i will say that you should look around at the individual components within kits and see if they are right for you. Here's a very useful guide that i like to follow from the XS forums...

Good BGA Ramsinks?

OCZ BGA ramsinks are usually a good bet and they already come with thermal tape. If you wanna spend more Swiftech makes some pretty nifty ones too (MC14)

Popular, recommended cpu heatsinks/fans

Ninja all the way. The spaced fin design allows the 120 fan to blow through without causing much turbulance. Also, no other cooler comes with that many heatpipes. Big Typhoon is a close second IMO, but the one drawback that i can see with the BT is that the fan is soo close to the side panel...

need a quiet cpu cooler

yeah, the zalman 7000 series cooler is pretty good in my book. I have a case with virutally no airflow and the 7000 set on 5v is dead silent and i still cools 5-10 degrees better than the crappy stock cooler i had on it before.

are there any quiet or semi-quiet 120MM fans

as galvanized said, i would also not recommend clear plastic fans, but i have tried the LED yate loons and they actually really nice. It appears they accounted for the increased noise with the different housing material, so they made the fan run a lil quieter. Its quieter than my reg black...

Thermaltake Armor new side panel fan or additional front fan

definitely go for the side panel. I wish they made the side panels more subtle though....i do not like TT side panel designs. I guess i could always buy the non-windowed version and then cut my own window.

Got a Aria for HTPC, Looking at HSF that will fit

aria does not have very good ventilation therefore i would suggest picking up the zalman 7000Balcu or all copper version. Its a very nice cooler, will fit under the psu (i know so from personal experience). I think its the biggest cooler you can fit in the aria. With the included speed...

Yate Loon vs. Arctic Cooling 120mm fan

yate loon fans are great! I have 2 different versions of the D12SL-12. They undervolt very well and have great cfm to db ratios and they are cheap. I really cant say much for the AC fans since i dont own any, i think for the price its very difficult to find a better fan than the YL

i would have to agree with these choices. But for the sake of noise, i would go for a BIP II as you will be able use a lower cfm fan on it. Plus it will save you some money.

Kakumba is right, the Whitewater is a great choice for a budget block. Should perform just as well if not better than the TDX. Only reason why people dont hear much about it is becuase its an old block. Probably better to spend 5 bucks more and get the limited edition white water for 34 bucks...

Question about fans.

120mm panaflo fans usually come in the 120 x38 variety. If you are happy with your silenx, then you will most likely have to run any of the panaflos at a lower speed. However, the panaflos should offer better cooling.

Does anyone know of some good UV lights?

UV light should defintely be under 15 bucks these days. Im not sure where you from but you can get dual 12" UV lights from PTS or Jab-tech for 5 bucks. Here you go: PTS Jab-Tech

Can anyone recommend a quiter cpu fan

do you want to replace both fan and heatsink? Are you using the stock heatpipe cooler that came with the 4400? i believe the fan on the stock heatpipe cooler is a 70mm, people have modded their stock heatsink to fit 80mm and 92mm fans. That should give you more airflow at lower noise...

Oh just look at the sticker on the fan, it should say either Scythe or S-flex on it. The reason why i ask is because at the local shop get all my gear from, they have their own combo for the ninja and s-flex. I havent asked them yet, but from what i read on scythes website it doesnt say...

does the ninja plus really come with the S-flex fan or just a regular Scythe fan? The specs on the 1200rpm sflex is close, but not the same as the specs from the fan thats on the Ninja Plus. Can you confirm?

Scythe Katana Any Good??

both are decent coolers, but if you can find a good price on the Freezer 64 pro, go for it, it will probably perform better than the katana.

Looking for opinions on my fan options.

i say use all three yate loons and the 80mm 39cfm panaflo. Slightly undervolt the yateloons (maybe 9volts at the most) and run the the panaflo at 7v. Should make a super quiet system with decent airflow.

good find Howard, nice link so i guess the orange/black ones are the best. wait, actually the codes are different, the blue led version from the link is the M version, a hihger rpm version. The model from jenovas link is the D12sl-12, and from the specs listed on the PTS page, its quieter.
