Do you think the 8800 GT 512 price will drop in January?

I just got one of these, and of numerous issues pointed out by bterrill in his well justified post, the most immediately annoying was horrible popping and crackling on the onboard audio. I fixed it by disabling all DTS options. Went away instantly, worked like a charm. Just sharing.

Asus P5B-E release date?

Man, I thought I understood the C1 vs C2 differences, but now I'm hopelessly befuddled again. I'll hang on for the AT 965 recap before I spend any money :) FWIW, the P5B-E has been on sale here in Taiwan for a week or two, I think I saw it going for US$150-155, but that's a shaky recollection.

What's up with my E6400?

It looks like the IHS is curved or beveled on the sides. Is this the case with all Core 2 Duo CPUs? I've never had this CPU installed, and only ever took it out of the box this one time. Am I just seeing things? My E6400

Thanks guys, you rock. Now the only problem is that I'm living in Taiwan, "NewEgg" means over here a big collection of little vendor stalls and tiny shops in an IT park, and each one has at most 4 brands of DDR2, weird ones who don't seem like they're in the US market yet: Kingbox, Apacer, etc...

I need honest opinions about the Dell 2007FPW

Had a 2001FP for 2 years, just got a 2007WFP (the wide one, stupid Dell) and love it except for teh banding. I play lots of games, FPS and other, and have never seen ghosting or anything, but I don't think I'm very picky either. Would love the 2007WFP 100% if it weren't for the banding.

OK, this is weird... I got my 2nd (3rd overall) 2007WFP today and it is the 1st refurb I've received. Unfortunately I got it at work where no PCs have DVI, so only my Mac has DVI. And I don't think I see banding on this one.... What's the best test on a Mac? I'm been drawing gradients...

Just thought I'd report, that I installed the new Forceware 90 drivers linked at tweaksrus.com. Surprise surprise, I had the stutter and blinking issue the 1st time I exited FEAR to the desktop. Did a clean uninstall with Driver Cleaner and went back to 84.56 Forceware, and the problem cleared...

I agree completely, dude. 7800GTX draws more power than 7900GTX, so a PSU that ran a single 7800GTX perfectly needs must work fine with a single 7900GTX.. especially with 32A split in half between two +12V rails! I've never seen anything tax a GPU faster than rthdribl...
