Is there anyway to overclock or improve the performance of Clovetrail Atom Z2640?

Have you tried changing the power setting from balanced to performance? That should set it to its max speed.

HTC EVO V 4G hot, hot, hot.

The HTC one V is a different phone that was built to be a budget phone. The HTC EVO 4G was built to be sprints top phone(EVO 3D). This phone is a bargain, 3D didn't go over well, all the phone manufactures dropped the idea and these phones were moved over to Virgin mobile.

I lucked out went to Walmart, bestbuy, staples(didn't change price yet), then went into HHGreg just after they opened. They had six 16gb, I was able to get one :) Playing around with it, the screen is nice, scrolling on web pages is much smoother than my android devices (One is a evo 3d)...

I was wondering also if it has a lot to do with the case you have. Since the egg cooler blows insides the case a well ventilated case might make the difference. the cooler could be better than reference if you have the right case. Anyone find in reviews that have looked in to this issue?
