I ended up purchasing a Y-E data drive due to positive recommendations on reliability. It has worked well with no issues. The drive package came with an easily installed black bezel, which I am using in my installation. I purchased the drive from provantage, which also provided fast service.

I suspect that you are running into raid driver conflicts in windows. Are any of your motherboard SATA (or IDE) ports enabled for RAID with the nVidia raid drivers installed ?

I think you will find the KVM/single kbd/mouse setup to be much easier to use than two sets of keyboards/mice. I use this setup between a desktop and laptop.
