The tests are done with 5 year old video card (basically equal to 1060 3gb) so it's bottlenecked even at 1080p. Also no mention of 1% , .01% lows. look at how 6600k compares now
So you're saying Charleston guy who rammed a crowd of protesters didn't know they were liberals? Or Planned parenthood shootings? or the Pizza gate shooting?
Well, I applied for amd exchange, but it looks like Intel wins on a technicality https://www.amd.com/system/files/documents/AMD-Competitor-Prize-Exchange-Promotion-Terms.pdf where there's a timeframe by which the prize must be received (sept 3), therefore all intel has to do is to send out...
https://www.techspot.com/news/75164-intel-responds-amd-wap-core-i7-8086k-threadripper.html
So anyways, it turns out I won the 8086k (but idk will prob take another month to ship), now I'm not sure if it would be worth the hassle to exchange it for the threadripper, unless I sell TR on ebay and...
Yeah, the kaby lake 620 would be roughly same as your 6670 or better, and 2200G smokes (about twice as fast)
https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GeForce_GTX_750_Ti/25.html
vega on ryzen is roughly equal to 750ti (which is like 5% better than gt1030) when OC'd, and radeon 7750 is 50%...
Why all the mentions of 1700 having a cooler, when 1600 has the same cooler and is cheaper than 1600x? Is it because no OC planned? Anyways, I think 1700 will still have better MT perf than skylake 6c, and prob $100 cheaper still
quite sure any pci 3.0 card will work with 2.0 on your motherboard, but check your motherboard support page for updates and get latest bios if it doesn't :) Speaking from experience, had pcie3 in pcie mobos
have you tried.. downgrading bios to earliest one that works? idk just a crazy idea :p
My xeon 1275-L wasnt letting me set all 4 cores to 3.9, so I reverted back to v1.3 from 1.8 it worked. Totaly diff situation tho :P
I know people will crucify me for liking 3.5gb card, but evga 970 (up from ati3850) has been great to me for the last 2 years, bought it used for low 200. Quiet operation, decent fps even in latest games with some settings turned down. Least favorite was one of my earliest video card purchases...
actually to answer your question it has excellent cpu utilization, as in it uses every single ounce of cpu power available, while it sucks for lower end cpu it clearly makes i7's better than i5. So glad I upgraded to xeon equal to 4770k for 220 on ebay, up from dual core g3258@4.6. Gona check...
weird thing is when I ran 60 fps cap I noticed jerkiness, when I lowered to 58 it was really smooth on 60hz. Also then increased to 70hz on monitor, 2fps does the trick.
A real 4 core desktop skylake (6500-6600k) should be same or better (especially with a light OC) than that laptop cpu in gaming. 470/1060 will probably have +30-40% on 970m as well
