I just called for the same problem and they wanted ME to ship the mouse the THEM. Thus I would have to pay for it, AND i would be without a mouse for 2 weeks.
the supervisor i spoke with just said that was their policy and i should call corporate if i didn't like it.
any suggestions?
I can offer my experiences with the P180. It is a lovely case for the silence-minded. The 3 layered sound dampening walls really do cut down on vibration, the chamber isolation is nice, etc. etc.
You know the pros, so I'll just mention some cons.
It is HEAVY. I move back and forth from...
any idea if an X1900xt would fit in here with the drives in suspension mode? or regular?
And any chance you could put up some pics of the things you mentioned? It was a great review - and I'd like to see it visualized.
thanks!
A while I ago I had this great little utility that I found somewhere. It was free, and was an XP tweaking utility that, among other things - had options for an Ultra Fast Boot process and an Ultra Fast Shutdown thing where it reordered certain files.
Does anyone know what I'm thinking of...
Hey guys - I was wondering if anyone had done (and posted pictures) of a P180 Window mod, DIY style. I saw one premade that you can order online (who knew windows were worth a $90 premium?) but I'd rather do it myself. I just had a few quesitons:
1) Do you think the window should be just...
So about 2 months ago I upgraded my computer. My new rig is:
Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe
Opteron 165
X1900XT
2gb nice RAM
Enermax Liberty 500w
Antec P180
etc.
My old rig was/is:
Asus P4P800-e something or other
P4 3.06 ghz
Radeon 9700pro
1gb RAM
Antec Super Lanboy
Very silent...
Could you guys reccomend some resources to do research about this? My googling isn't bringing up many useful results.
Also - dph1077 - when you say notepad I assume you mean coding it yourself?
So I want to make a website for myself that will serve as my own personal site for displaying photography/art/designs etc. as well as acting as a site I can send employers to on resumes. I'll also want to be able to post on it like a blog, etc. etc. A basic personal website.
So...how do I...
Thanks. I've looked around and am a bit confused. Do I need to download some other programs for these to work?
For instance: This Desktop Theme. This seems to change things around completely and I LOVE the design. What do I need to do to be able to use this?
Thanks!
So not all of us are as resiliant as we would like to be - or perhaps the smarter of us just wish to work against the inevitable and use keyboards that will prevent RSI like Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. To that end we use Ergonomic Keyboards. But unfortuantely until recently most ergonomic boards...
So I've read alot of the theory behind overclocking, all about memory and HTT and all that. But I'm having trouble actually doing it.
In the bios I tried starting off by just setting the CPU FSB Frequency from 200 to 250. Then I saved and exited. CPU wouldn't boot. I shut it off, turned...
Can you guys link to a site for downloading the 6.2 drivers? The auto update gets a crap connection and would take about 3.5 years to DL the whole thing.
Check out THIS picture.
I ran the automated overclock utility in the ATI CCC and am a little confused. It looks like everything maxed out with a temp of 54 degrees. ISn't the XTX clocked at 650? My XT was 621 originially and now it is at 690 - is that good?
I'm unfamiliar with the...
lol "budget build" with a $500 vid. card in there? No way. a 6800 is a budget card, not an X1900XT.
However, if you meant bang for buck within a $1500 budget, then I'd agree that is a great setup. If you shop around you can get the Opty 165 for a LOT less. I ended up getting mine retail...
Peter - I'm interested in what keyboards you are talking about that are "true" ergo boards.
I've used the MS 4000 and found it to be horrible - like you said, the keyforce needed was absurd. Two years ago I was diagnosed with Carpel Tunnel Syndrome (basically RSI of a specific nerve in the...
If its an LCD than it is probably toast - the front of an LCD is a fibrous material that holds in the liquid crystal (LCD = liquid crystal display) - so you can't scrub out the scratch like you might be able to on glass or counter tops.
jpotter had some great advice - do what he says.
In addition - I would try resetting the CMOS battery. To do this you pop out the nickel-sized battery on the motherboard (usually there is some kind of easy release mechanism) and leave it out for a good 10 minutes or so. Also unplug the...
All looks good except I would get a different Power supply - go with a more reliable brand like OCZ, Enermax, or Fortron. an Enermax Liberty 500w would work great for that system (the X1900XT requires [so it says] more than 30A on the 12v rails).
grab the G.Skill DDR500 RAM for $30 less...
I'll definitely look into it. I'm not terribly worried about it at this point - as I at least got the cables out of the main airflow paths. However, I plan on modding the side to have a window (I'm planning it now, and I think I'll do 2 pains of plexi with a layer of air in between so i dont...
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that gave me advice and pointed me in this or that direction along the way. The computer is up and running and *crosses fingers* hopefully won't give me any surprises in the near future.
For those curious:
Asus A8n32-SLI Deluxe
Opty 165
2gb OCZ HP...
I JUST built a P180 system yesterday with an Enermax Liberty 500w.
Fits perfectly and with minimul clutter. Sexy PSU too - comes with a carrying case for all the extra cables.
I just installed this system and everything works great except I can't get the Line out from the Mobo to produce any sound. I checked in AVRack (program that gets installed with drivers) and everything seems to be OK. Any ideas? I've tried headphones, and a 2.1 speaker setup.
I'm building my new system and am wondering if I can hook up the Front panel audio connector from the P180 to the FP_Audio 10-pin connector on the Asus A8n32-SLI Deluxe. The MB's 10-pin connector came with 4 of the pins covered with jumper thingies, but if I remove those the P180s cable lines...
Putting together my new system and it occurs to me, I'm not sure I've ever actually used a SATA power connector.
On my new Enermax Liberty it has cables that have both regular 4-pin Molex connectors and these flat connectors that look like longer SATA connectors - do I just use that? If I...
Great additions on the Hard drives and LCDs guys. And those comments about adding other brands and breaking Mobos into sections are great ideas - I'll definitely do that today when I add the Mice section.
