great performance but runs very hot and is VERY noisy. I just sold mine (along with my whole computer)
I'd suggest getting a 7800gt for like $20 more or just wait till black Friday and pick up a 7950 free AR :P
but seriously the x850xt is out dated but if you're on a budget and need a...
Yeah I know what you mean
My CPU (3000+) is not very powerfuly, but I have no need for a better CPU.
I've been looking at the 3800+x2, but im not sure I want to spend $150 on this new upgrade
WOW
just got this monitor
all I can say is WOW
was used to a 17" CRT, made the switch...

im used to 1024 x 768, and now im using 1440 x 900
BUY THIS MONITOR!

518.
i've had both
i'm using my g5 right now and my brother has my 518 but the g5 is def. not worth the extra money
plus, who wants to change sensitivity??
don't waste ur money
if you're looking for a $500-700 computer, buy it.
if you're willing to spend $1k building is your best option.
mobo's are better, graphics card will be better, RAM won't be value (hopefully), and no spyware at startup.
let me warn you now.
the fan is VERY loud. compared to my 5200, this thing is like a jet. the fan is running at 5% right now and it's still the only thing I can hear in my computer...
besides that, great card. highly recommend it if you can deal with the noise.
I too have the 3000+ and a AC 64. Good combo, although my CPU isn't quiet at your 2.8, it's running at around 2.4.
The AC 64 is only like $25 at most and most DEFINETLY better than stock HSF.
Right now i'm defraging my HDD and it's at 35.
Not running much now but you get the point...
Yeah yeah my PSU is garbage, so what? it was free anyways
Right now i'm looking into getting another couple of sticks of some OCZ platinum. i KNOW this would make almost everything run faster but i'm not sure if it's worth the $150-$200.
aside from the fact that I spent all my money on this...
Yeah just a tiny one tho.
(not sure of size)
and the video card is pritty good. I don't play anything that stresses it out at all. the only problem is that the fan is REALLY loud. although there is a fan controler (ATI Tool) it's still annoying
yeah yeah.
I think i'll wait for a really good deal on some higher end CPU's to go on sale.
now sure about the RAM tho. I guess it's time to look around for a couple sticks of some OCZ.
Recently put this together but only got around to taking pics this morning.
I was just wondering what you guys thought about my first build.

with high AA and AF everything is great, but the fan is really loud when under load.
i'm thinking of switching to nvidia, mainly becuase i want a quiet card and plus, the...
