Recommendations for cheap earphones?

Best earbuds on the market (IMO): Sennheiser MX400 ... they also have the MX500 which is the same thing but comes in white.

can't use 300gb hd's?????

I think you may need SP2 installed for Windows to recognize it, if my memory serves me correctly.

Value memory?

Save your money: go for value RAM. From what I've heard, the difference is pretty minimal and not worth it unless you're trying to squeeze the utmost from your setup.

Which HD would you pick?

hate to bump this, but I'd love the insight here since I'm gonna decide on one soon. is SATA 3.0 a pointless spec since HD's don't even reach that speed? 16mb cache & NCQ important?

I won't be upgrading any time soon and I'd like this system to be future-proof, but I'd also like to get the most bang for the buck & storage if possible. I'm just hung up on stuff like the different SATA's (150 & 3.0GB/s) and features like NCQ. I'll be running a dual-core X2 with 2 gigs of RAM...

Trying to choose a case

Take a look at the Thermaltake Soprano. Decent price, beautiful case, excellent cooling. Another beautiful case is the Aspire X-CRUISE although its cooling is pretty average.

Good-looking case w/o Front Door?

I've been looking for a cheap ($50-100) but good-looking case but they all have front doors! I guess the front-door concept is new to me, but I'm used to cases that simply have all you need + the power button the front without the need to open a door every time you need to access something. Why...

X2: 3800 or 4400?

Okay, thanks for the feedback. About the cache: long-term, will double the cache make a big difference or is it a fairly unimportant thing to worry about?

I'm not OC'ing though... The 4400+ name would lead you to think that it's about 15-20% better than a 3800+ ... is that actually the case performance-wise? harobikes: the 4400+ has the higher clock speed... I assume you meant to suggest the 4400?

Just a couple more Q's: 1) Since my HD is OEM, will I need fans for it? Or is that the case's job? 2) If my X2 CPU is retail, doesn't it come with the thermal paste already applied?

To run DualChannel, do I have to purchase XMS ram? Or will 2 sticks of normal value RAM work also? Also, I've heard that an OEM hard drive won't come with screws... do I have to get those on my own then?
