The stock Cliffs of Dover is pretty buggy. Please go visit ATAG (http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=100&) and download the Team Fusion patches. Team Fusion is a group of volunteers who made huge improvements with this sim. I think the most current patch is 4.312...
My favorite places to get water cooling supplies are:
Petra's Tech Shop
Jab-Tech
Sidewinder Computer Systems
They have very high ratings at resellerratings.com
Looks right to me. Core Temp is assuming a TJunction of 85C. 66C to TJunction gives you 19C (85 - 66), and 59C to TJunction gives you 21C. However, the key question is "Does your CPU has a TJunction of 85C?" Nobody knows and this parameter is not recorded in any registry. The information...
This thread http://www.xtremesystems.org/f...08&highlight=intel+tat contains very good info regarding CPU temperature readings. The consensus is that Core Temp 0.95 (with the option "Show Delta to TJunction temp" selected) displays the correct Intel Core2 CPU temperature until throttling...
Flush it a few times with distilled water, and then with white vinegar. Fill the radiator with vinegar and leave that in overnight. Repeat flushing procedure a few times. For more details, see here. Scroll down to the section on "Cleaning of radiator and waterblocks".
It is a superb case for DIY watercooling. I had all the components installed internally, and the installation process is pretty painless. There is still room for expansion.
Beware of potential galvanic corrosion with a Nautilus 500. It uses a Copper CPU block and an anodized Aluminum radiator. The pump (Laing DDC) is good, but the single radiator is probably not capable of supporting both CPU and GPU blocks.
I ordered my 7900GTO (Fedex ground shipping) from mwave on Friday, when the price was still 249.90. Since I am in Southern California, I received mine today.
Are you using Corsair memory? It seems that the DFI boards do not work well with corsair memories. Also, depending on the chips (Samsung vs Infineon vs Micron) that the memory use, you need different settings for things like DRAM Drive Strength, etc. in the BIOS. Also, have you tried to...
Petra's Tech Shop offers good selection of fans at good prices. I think they are the only outfit in the U.S. to carry the Yate Loon model M fan.
Model: DS12M-12
Fan Size: 120mm x 120mm x 25mm
Speed: 1650 +/- 10% RPM
Airflow: 70.5 CFM
Noise: 33.0 dBA
Bearing: Sleeve
Voltage: 12 V...
I disagree. The Stacker is a great case, especially for water cooling. All the water cooling components can be installed internally with room to spare.
I have that same OCZ kit.
I could use 2-3-2-5 timing up to a FSB of about 210 MHz with 2.7 V,
2.5-3-3-7 timing up to a FSB of about 240 MHz with 2.7 V,
could only get up to a FSB of 250 MHz with a relaxed timing of 3-4-3-8 and 2.75 V.
Hope this helps.
When cleaning with vinegar, did you immerse the components completely in vinegar? If not, you might have a reaction between copper, air and vinegar.
Somebody made that mistake and all he had to do was to put the blocks back in vinegar. See this thread for details...
My platinum 2 GB kit could maintain 2-3-2-5 up to 210FSB and 2.5-3-3-7 up to 245FSB. All at 2.7 V. I passed memtest at 250FSB with 3-4-3-8 @ 2.75 V, but I haven't tried any higher. Great memory kit from OCZ!
Jab-tech http://www.jab-tech.com also has a wide selection of quality water cooling products. My past transactions with this store had all been smooth.
The last I heard, it has been delayed to June. They are having some issues with damage in shipping. IIRC, the one at CeBIT was damaged in the shipping process. Please see http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=85243&page=20 for updates.
If you are just trying to run the cable through, you can loosen the 4 screws that hold the entire front panel and pull out the front panel a bit to route the fan cable into the case. I did it this way.
For a large case to install water internally, a Lian Li PC-75 is pretty nice.

The Lian Li G-70

is also pretty good looking.
The stickies may not be much for an advance user like you. But, for a noob like me who is contemplating WC, the stickies are a great source of basic information, knowledge, and parts recommendation.
There is also the XS WC forum. It is frequented by the likes of Cathar (designer of the...
I think 8 hours is not quite enough. I have seen prime failures after 16 hours. Personally, I ran all 3 prime tests for 24 hours before I consider the overclock stable. Cheers and good luck with your overclock.
I ordered a couple of CPUs and other components from mwave. No problem whatsoever. Since I lived in the Los Angeles area, the items usually arrive the day after I order.
According to this
http://www.amdcompare.com/us-en/desktop...x?opn=ADA3200DAA4BP&&opn=ADA3200DKA4CG
BP is an E3 stepping, and CG is an E4 stepping. E3 chips have been demonstrated as good overclockers, whereas E4 is relatively poor in terms of overclockability.
I got the exact same treatment from excaliberpc.com. Their website showed that the Opteron 146 was in stock when I ordered. Three days later, they cancelled my order without consulting me. I will never buy from them and would advise people to stay away from this merchant.
