Yeah.. Between those two that is what I was thinking. Two good cards... Are those Nvidia's best other than the 7800's?

Best AGP <$200 and overall - no alt ps

I'm getting a HUGE tax refund because my wife had a baby in December. I just got a 9600 pro, but I'm going to get a better one. I dont want to have to get another power supply or cooling system. I have a Dell Dimension 8300 2.66 p4 HT and 1.5gig ddr. I want to know what the best everyone thinks...

I'm not complaining about you trying to help me! I appreciate it! I read the other thing.. pretty good.. So why is my tool not registering any board temp?

Sorry... it is a pro. When I ran a test on it it set itself to 455. I put it up to 460, then 500, and backed it to 475 .I guess I'll put it back at 450 or so.

Ok. It makes a little sense... but the tool isn't registering any temperature. I can OC two different numbers. One is VPU.. not sure about the other one... I'm not at home. I can't remember which it is. I'll just put it back to where I OCed it before and it was working fine.

Ok, so I OCed it too far? Beggarking that was trying to help me flash it to an xt, finally told me just to oc it to 500. so I did and that started almost immediately, then I backed it to 475. I had it at 460 before that and it wasn't doing it.. What exactly causes that?

YAMT: To value ram or not....

I just got another gig of corsair vs. Its great with the 2x256 I had. Still running dual channel with a 2.66 p4. Loads the maps in about 60 seconds. No lag after starting that I can tell.

need help on ram..

I have 1.5 now and it runs bf2 great. I have overclocked my 9600 pro slightly and have everything at medium with some high and 2xaa. It only takes about 60 seconds to load and its rarely jumpy. I am very satisfied with my the corsair I got.

I just got 2x512 of corsair value select. Works great, even when paired with whatever the heck it is that dell gave me 2x256. What is wow?

I have a 128mb SD card. My wife and I have an 8 week old that we take pictures of like crazy. It would hold over 100 pictures at 5mps, but it has steadily held less and less... Now it will only hold 4 before it says its full!! What the heck is wrong with this thing?

OCing a 9600 pro

Ok. I did the "extreme" one and it went 249.75 mem clock and 462 vpu. I have 1.5gig ram and 2.66p4. So I shouldn't go ahead and run it at that? I have my normal video settings set at about that resolution too... I just picked one a clicked it.... lol...

I ran that trixx program and it can diagnose the card to see what its capable of... thats what you're talking about right? so whatevery it says is max, just back both off 5-10mhz and then I probably won't fry it? I ran it at "performance" and it gave me better number, and I am running it at...

OCing a 9600 pro

Sapphire gave me an ocing tool called TriXX. It says its set at 222.35 mem clock and 397.05vpu clock and fan speed says 0%. I have bf2 set at: 1600x1200@60 hz Terrain, effects, geometry, Lighting and Texture filtering and Texture at medium. AA 2x, Dynamic light and Dynamic shadows off and View...

Flashing my 9600 pro

I was trying to flash my 9600 pro to an xt. I downloaded all 3 of the apps that beggar king said I needed. I saved a copy of the current bio. Now when I run the flash program it brings up a dos prompt that says press any key to continue, then the prompt goes away... How am I supposed to flash...

I thought it was the mobo that made it run dual channel, not the chips?? my 512 is pc3200. I'm not sure about the 2x256. I just know its 333.

cpu? I have a 2.66 p4 ht. Thats limiting what my ram can do? I can tell it loads BF2 faster.. but thats about it. It can load a map in a little less than half the time it could before. Nothing else I should notice?

Its a Dell... I was TOLD its dual channel because the ports are color coded 1 with 3 and 2 with 4. I assume thats what makes it dual channel. Maybe my processor is underclocked? I removed the 2x256 from the 1 and 3 slot, put them in 2 and 4. put my 2x512 in the 1 and 3 slots. My computer is...

I just got my 2x512 corsair value ddr400, pc3200. I am still running it dual channel with my 2x256 and 333mhz. Even though it will all be at 333mhz, shouldn't I still have a noticeable difference?

I just got 2x512 corsair value ddr400 pc3200. I already had 2x256 ats 333. I know that the corsair won't perform at 400... but shouldn't I still be able to tell a significant difference? Still running dual channel.

Another ram question

I know it is ddr. Just making sur eotherwise.. I have 2x256 in 1 and 3 slot (Dual channel) I Am moving that to 2 and 4 and putting 2x512 in 1 and 3 slots.
