    If you are using online and phone to check inventory you may be out of luck. They do this on purpose so you can drive to the store. They don't even pick up the phone...on purpose. It's a pain but if you really have to have it, drive there :)

    the Skullcandy headphones are crap. Hardly any bass at all and can't even compare to my KSC75. And they are selling these at $60? Wow. The ports are USB but speeds are slow. My USB 3.0 doesn't work on 2.0 ports but comes up fine on this laptop.

    If you're not a hardcore gamer that must have the response time then go IPS, no question and no doubt about it. Those precious ms matter little to the vast majority of gamers, myself included. Making a poor decision or a mistake in game mutes the whole point.

    No doubt. I am in the process of moving and couldn't pick up the R4 deal earlier. Once I get settle in I'm hoping to replace my antec 900 with it or just outright build a spare PC for the fun of it. As for the parts it's a good list. I'm going to try to persuade him to go with SSD and not a HD.

    What is the most mileage that you've ever gotten out of a PC game?

    Heroes of Might and Magic 3. The random map generator never gets old and with WOG mods it's great. Pretty much the only game I play now on PC. Just reactivated FFXIV to play with the nephews but it may not last for me. HOMM3 will last a long time still :)

    I run 2 dell 3007wfp at the same time. Even the lowly nvidia cards can do it :P AMD is the only exception for the majority of models out there. But Nvidia cards are no problem :)

    OC 7950 or 7970?

    Going to return my 7970. FFXIV runs fine on my current GTX650 card :) At max it is a "tad" choppy but very playable. This also at 2560x1600 :) Very happy at the moment that I don't have to shell out hundreds of dollar to play (when I can log in!!!) the game with the nephews and kids.

    Oh, this is quite bad. I had assumed that sli/xfire would just work and never bother reading up on it. In that case I think I'm limited in my video options or shell out $100 for the active adapter. Sigh, even my 650 has two dual-link DVI's, come on AMD! :)

    I would xfire the two cards to avoid the adapter, which I'm fine with. Even then, the xfire setup should be more than enough for me I think. Long term two 7970 OC'd would last me a long time. Remember this is driving games at 2560x1600.

    I hate the sleep mode on this thing, on Windows 8. It takes like 30s for it to come back to do anything with it. Otherwise, it has been this price for a while. I rather get the Seagate backups if ever they come back on sale on Amazon again.
