Thanks for that!
It always annoyed me that Valve didn't bother to include the texture improvements from Blue Shift when they did HL:Source. Time for another play-through!
That's not the way I read it - looks like you can back up the downloads and use them to reinstall, you just can't download again after the time limit.
Still kinda lame, but at the discount in this thread I ain't complaining!
Need some help finding a Phenom II x4 motherboard to support 2 ATI FirePro MV 2450 cards (2GPUs on each card).
This is for a work/network monitoring console that has 8 DVI displays - I need to step up to hardware that will run Windows 7 well.
I already have the ATI FirePro 2450 cards -...
Count me as someone with Lite-On probs - got the linked drive to build in a system on a DFI LANParty - nothing but 3 DL coasters so far. And this is with Verbatims.
Any links to workarounds? I'm thinking of just sending it back to ZZF for credit.

Well, winter is coming on soon. That'd make a nice space heater ;)
I'm getting my boss' dual-Xeon workstation because he can't stand the heat under his desk anymore.
I can't believe it - I hear that AMD and Intel are in on this "speed binning" scam as well with thier CPUs ;)
I picked up the card because I couldn't resist the upgrade to my 6800 Ultra at that price. With DX10 cards coming, I couldn't see spending more, and I really wanted a proper 512mb...
Guess I'll wait and see what the voltmod gives me. 280x9 seems to be the best I can do for now. I did go ahead and relax the memory timings and bump the base memory speed from 210Mhz @ 2.5-3-3-7 to 232Mhz @ 3-4-4-8. I'll see how that balances performance-wise.
Thanks for the replies.
I'm running the OCW Beta1 BIOS - that seemed to suit my 144 the best. I'll give the Beta2 a shot. I tried Beta7 and it didn't work so well.
The HS is similar to the one listed, but w/aluminum fins. One thing I've noted is that though it has a copper base, it has a...
Just got a new Opteron 165, and replaced my Opteron 144 in my AsRock Dual SATA m/b
Either my Opty 144 was an exceptional stepping, org this 165 isn't too great.
I could get 2.8Ghz (300x9) out of my 144, but so far the best my 165 can manage is 2.4. The AsRock by default only allows a .05V...
How is this pricing going to compare to prices at launch? I've nearly got a friend ready to do an upgrade and buy my 6800Ultra.
I'm glad the 1900 launch coincides with this! It would have sucked to get an 1800XT and have this come out a week later.
Of course I could wait for price drops on...
@jTek - Sounds like you have the HTT multiplier set too high, either that or you may need to drop the RAM multiplier and/or relax the RAM timings.
I've got mine running at 285 on my AsRock M/B.
The ocworkbench web site (AsRock forum) has some good links to OC info, including a useful...
Thanks duragezic - I'm a long-time lurker first-time poster ;)
Yeah - the ASRock is a great transitional board. I had just gotten the 6800Ultra after all kinds of hell trying to get an X800 to work on my MSI VIA-based-board (mobile Barton running 2.4Ghz).
I was going to hold out on an x64 -...
I can't compare to many other boards - but I have been very happy with mine so far.
Out of the box I got 2.4Ghz with my Opteron 144, and I'm now up to 2.6Ghz with the OCWorkbench Beta1 BIOS.
I'm running a 6800 Ultra AGP card and Audigy 2 sound card, CoolerMaster Hyper6+ heatsink. 1gb RAM (pqi...
