Actually BK Precision manufacturers an extensive line of electronic instrumentation. I would hardly call it a no-name DMM.
Expensive is a relative term. If you price out 50,000 count meters you will find out they usually cost much more.
There are not many "brand name" DMMs available...
This DMM is marked down on clearance. Not as good (expensive) as a Fluke, but is generally okay. AEMC rebadges the same meter and charges much more.
