A7N8X DLX + nForce Drivers = No CD Burning

Has anyone got their A7N8X Deluxe to burn CDs with the nVidia IDE driver installed? Mine works fine if I uninstall the driver, but loads up on error messages if I try to use it.

I dream of having the ISP options you have in the US. Internet in North America is pretty sweet. Canada & US have the same infrastructure and alot of technologies are developed in parallel. European countries have the potential to be even better than us, and everyone else is screwed. :P

Videocard Problems - Constantly crashing.

I have the same problems with my Asus V7700.... there were some coolin inefficiencies with Asus' line of first generation GF2 cards. These folks confirmed that the card was causing a reboot or lockup once reaching a certain temp. Still unsure of a solution, I havent tried to RMA or anything...

Its Possible 20 DVD's on one CD-R, Just Read

If anyone here has studied computer algorithms or high level programming at a post-gradulate level, they can tell you with confidence that this is a physical impossibility, no ifs ands or buts.

No/little sound coming from speakers - CT5880

I have a gigabyte motherboard with the built in sound chip. I have the volume cranked on both the speakers and the computer software volume, and I hardly get any sound out of them. I have tried the speakers elsewhere and they work fine. I have also tried updated drivers for the sound chip but...

Fast Transfer only One way....

I have a home network setup with two computers. Both run Windows 98, and both have the same NIC cards. Plugged into a 10mb Hub, computer A can transfer very quickly when downloading from computer B. However, Computer B Can only download from A at ridiculously slow speeds. What gives??????

System locks after 15 mins of UT

Hey everyone, I load up UT and play at 1024x768 just beautifully at about 75 fps. After about 10-15 mins, my whole system locks HARD. Why would this be happening? Overheating? I thought about it, but MBM and Asus Smartdoctor report nothing unusual. Any ideas? I'm using a GF2GTS / 1.4Ghz Athlon...

Monitor won't power save anymore...

About 2 weeks ago, my monitor stopped going into power-save mode after 30 mins. My power tab in control panel is still set to "turn off monitor" after 30 mins - what gives? I'm not trying to achieve full system standby, just monitor power down. Any thoughts?

Monitor hurts my eyes........

I just bought a massive Samsung 22" flat screen. I notice, however, that my eyes become tired or sore fairly quickly, something that never happened with my old (smaller) monitor. Does this relate to the size? refresh rate? radiation? I need to make some adjustment because Im going crazy...

Power button causes standby instead of Shutdown

When I click start->shutdown with Win98SE, The computer gets to the screen "it is now safe to shut off your computer". So I press the power button, it beeps, and then goes into standby mode. Shouldn't it shut itself off at this point?

CD-ROM becomes "unplugged" out of no where? HELP!

I had this problem once...... at first I thought there was a pattern to it, but now looking back on it it was probably totally irradic. Sorry I cant be more assistance, though I never did change any hardware, but I have been updating drivers (Via, SP2, etc) and the problem has since dissapeared.
