I just drove cross country and I just basically had my tires rotated and oil changed. I had a nissan maxima so I didn't have to worry about a timing belt. I had 98,000 mile on it when I left.
I just picked up a zx2 off craigslist for $2500. Car is a stripped model but has AC and a cd player. Runs good, looks decent. I am happy with it. Driving a 5 speed daily is interesting but I am getting used to it. Some good deals are out there.
My dad drives a 95 corolla with 160,000 miles on it. It isn't much to look at it but it sure has been reliable for him. The car is pretty vanilla but it will get you there and back without issue. Pretty good mileage too.
Another option to look at is a Sentra or a Protege. Same class of...
It does seem to have a decent amount of power for a small car. The handling can be setup pretty decent so I have read. Kind of miss the power of my maxima but am loving the fuel economy of this. Racecorts are ok in my book!!
A fun car to drive and is different is a Fiat x1/9. Fiat spyders are more collectable though. Both are pretty fun and different. Parts aren't to expensive. Not really great investments but Italian cars are still fun.
I have been unemployed for the last two months and just got a job today. Woo-hoo go me!!
Anyhow, my first purchase was that I enrolled in the motorcycle safety course, joined the gym, and plan to get a tattoo. I will stagger this out over the next month or so.
I was lucky in that I had a...
I used to work a 12 hour swing schedule. Was nice in that I only worked 14 days a month and got 7 days off in a row a month. That saying, my body couldn't handle the short turn around of "hell" week.
U2's earlier stuff was very very good. War, Joshua Tree, Actung Baby. Great Great Albums. I hated the "Pop" experiment. It was different, just not in a good way for me. Their newer stuff is kind of lost on me but I will admit I am a sucker for A Beautiful Day
Right across from the house i am staying in. I live in a decent neighborhood just scum be anywhere at anytime. I didn't move my car for a day or two so I kind of set myself up.
On a positive note, I got a job today so woo-hoo for me!!
So he is a bit of a scumbag. *shrugs* I don't care what he does off the field. IF he is in jail he obviously can't play unless they come up with a creative work release program. If the league has rules in place for such things and he broke them, I guess he is out.
I can't recall but didn't pacman get suspended before he even got convicted of anything. Seems kind of BS to me. So what if he is a thug, it is the NFL and not the Boy Scouts of America.
The shark was locked. The passenger side window has some nice prints along the top of it and marks like a slim jim was used. Best I can put together. Like everyone else has mentioned. I need to keep the valuables out of view or just take them with me.
I love the razor blade idea. Kind...
I am trying to look for the positives in this. I guess I would like to say thanks to the thief dude for not being a total dickbag, i mean atleast he didn't break my window.
That is exactly how it was like back home. I never used to lock my car, well I did at work but that is because I didn' trust those swine. Just a bit of an adjustment going from a town with about 6,000 people in it to a city like Seattle. Chalk it up to experience I suppose
I think you have it backwards. Big dogs usually have a shorter lifespan than small dogs. Sorry to hear about the loss of your pet.
Sorry to hear about the OP's loss. Animals are something special and it is sad to see them go
Putting a family pet down is a very very hard thing. I think I cried the most in my life when we had to put the family dog down. That was the worst thanksgiving I ever had.
RIP Pooch
If someone wants to ride their motorcycle without a helmet, I say let them. I don't give a rats ass what they wear, what they ride, or any of that. I wear one because I like idea of trying to protect my melon. It keeps bugs and stuff off my face.
Well I am unemployed but I am not getting unemployment so I am sort of joking. If I can find a replacement cheap on craigslist I might score it. I hope I don't have to buy mine back though :P
I got a job offer today that I will probably take so I should be back into the working world soon...
Solid advice. My friend said the same thing to me when I got out here. I guess I needed to learn this one the hard way.
I come from a really rural small town where most folks don't bother your stuff. Adjustment time, this isn't NE PA anymore.
