The report does say there is one fragmented file, but it doesnt list the file in the report where it normally does, so I have no idea where the file is or what it is thats causing the problem.
Well I do have a few large files but they never gave me a problem before. It just seems odd that it would just start doing this, I never had this problem before. Im going to try and mess with the services i changed and see if that helps. I disabled the system restore one since I dont use but...
This problem just started:
When I defragment with Windows XP it says:
some files on this volume could not be defragmented
Please check the defragmentation report for the list of these files
When I check the report there is absolutely nothing listed, I tried running checkdisk and...
mine is stable at 1.475 at 2700 i got a Opteron 170 with that exact stepping, pretty much all xpmw's can hit 2.7ghz. I can hit 2.8ghz with like 1.52V, most think this voltage is fine, but i prefer to stay below 1.5V
Before doing this try and run SuperPI 32mb test. If it passes your memory most likely has the correct settings. If it fails fiddle with the settings and voltage of the RAM till you get it stable.
The Prime95 blend test often requires me to increase the voltage to the CPU, on AMD systems...
U still better be careful with your temps on the expert board they are 10C higher then what they say this a known issue and there are numerous posts on DFI-street.com about this.
i recommend getting a thermalright SI-120 heatsink and a panaflo fan and using arctic silver my temps are listed as 21C idle and 32C load by the bios so it actually means im running at 31C idle and 42C load, plus the artic silver hasnt had time to settle yet either so the temps might go down a...
The temps on the epox are right and the temps on your expert are wrong. This is a known issue with the temp sensor on the expert board and the temp is actually at least 7-10 degrees higher then what its telling you.
yes i did lower the ram speed and it still failed until the vcore was risen.
Small FFT should be used to get a rough estimate of your maximum CPU speed at a current voltage, its primarily used for this because it doesnt mess with the memory so you will know if you fail its soley cause of...
Well just so you guys know the Custom test with 80-90% of your memory being used in it, is the hardest test to pass. And any of you saying it doesnt stress the CPU dont know what ur talking about.
I can be compeltely stable in memtest and in Small FFT for 24hrs and still fail the Custom...
This might be the funniest thread I have ever seen.
How did you forget to put the heatsink on, that should be the main priority before turning it on.
Also spend a little bit more cash and get a decent motherboard and make sure it fits the form factor of your case. Good brands of...
Im currently running at 300fsb x 9 CPU multiplier, this is way to many mhz for my RAM so I tried using the 140 divider (7/10) which would bring my ram to 210 (DDR420)
Everything works fine but when i go into Memtest it displays my memory speed as 300mhz (DDR600) and in windows CPU-Z doesnt...
Well the first time doing this I got a Blue Screen of death, the next two times I did the same thing i was getting video corruption in the game, I thought it might be the video card but the temps arent on the card arent high at all, so I guess that leaves it two processor volts or memory. I ran...
Hey I was wondering if running Prime95 2x torture test for my AMD Opteron while playing WoW would cause a crash, or should it be stable doing this? Or if I am doing Prime95 should I only be doing that cause it takes so much processing power?
My Specs are
Opteron 170 @ 2.7ghz
Thermalright...
I got a pair of Kingston Value Ram to run in dual channel about a month ago, then decided to upgrade to a opeteron 170 and DFI LanParty Expert. Needless to say I heard that value ram didnt work well with the board, but mine works fanstastic. Its running completely stable and I have the the...
I got a 5hr 20min dual prime stable running a Opteron 170 (546XPMW)
at 2700mhz = 9 CPU Multi x 300mhz fsb on a DFI LAN Party UT SLI-DR Expert. This is with the RAM out of the equation.
I have the voltage on the Processor at 1.4v x 104.8% = 1.4672V
Temps: 21C idle, 33C load, I would add...
