Who makes the best P3 slot1 mb????

My Asus P3V4X has been running fine for almost a year now. Using a Pentium 3 FCPGA 600@800@1.75V.

So I shouldn't install the VIA IDE busmaster driver?

MSI K7PRO dying while gaming

Mem: I can´t confirm the P/S in my Aopen case since their webpage doesn´t specifically say what P/S this case has, and my case is for the time being not where I am so I can´t check it :) I´m sure it will sort itself out though, and if not I´ll just have to get another P/S. Still if anyone knows...

Thanks for your input. You are probably right about the power supply. I´ll try swapping it for the P/S in my Aopen LX45 which I _think_ is Athlon certified (I dont have it around just now, can anyone confirm this?). Strangely enough I´ve been running Q3A bot wars a couple of hours without lockup...

Replacing motherboard - any tips from those that have done it?

I replaced my Asus P3V4X for a MSI K7 PRO (with all new components as well). Didn´t even remove drivers or anything, just swapped boards.

Anyone know of display issues with Asus K7M?

I also had trouble with K7M and memory. Generic PC100 would krash now and then. Switching to better quality RAM improved stability.

MSI K7PRO dying while gaming

Problem: Whenever I play a 3D game (UT, Q3Ademo, Quakeworld) for any length of time (>1h) the computer just dies. I hear this 0.5 sec "chirping" sound in my headphones and the whole thing shuts down. The screen goes black, I believe the HDD and all fans power down (can´t remember just...

repairing dead monitors

Need advice on repairing dead monitors. I´ve got a bunch of discarded monitors and I figured I´d try to get a couple of them running before discarding them myself. Any links/tips with monitor repair techniques and such would be much appreciated. Fuses in the monitors are not blown. TIA.
