unplug the power cord from the back of your router. Wait 30 seconds and plug back in. Some websites stop working for me from time to time. This always seeems to work. Don't know why. I'd be interested if anyone could tell me why this works.

Or, as in my case the memory was good, and it worked find on a different system, but this particular mobo didn't like it. Had something to do with single-sided vs. double-sided I think. This mobo liked one and not the other.
I'm showing a clean device manager page with all hardware installed correctly after installing XP SP2. Should I still install the latest drivers for this chipset from VIA's website or just let it ride? I'm always wondering about this. Thanks much.
Thanks for the info. I guess if it's a used drive one should use the long method. If bad sectors are found will the drive mark them as bad and not use them? Again, thanks much.
On a fresh installation of XP one is given the option of a quick format of the disk or one that takes a long time to complete. What's the difference? (other than the time it takes.) Thanks.
I noticed on Paul Thurrott's site the Vista SKU features chart show no activation for busn, enterprise, or ultimate edition. Look almost to the bottom of the chart across from "Windows activation Services." Anyone no what's going on here...
