Actually, scratch that last bit, some things are a bit more than I thought they were.
It's about $40 more for an AM2 with a good psu and a 4830, an Intel setup would probably be $40 more than an AM2.
TBH, it's not a good deal really.
You save about $50 over building it yourself, plus you get the crap video cards (versus say a 4830) and crap power supply.
Go with an X2 AM2 system and you can get about the same price with a decent power supply and a 4830.
My god, the Windows Explorer is such a POS.
Nice error:
Windows can not access\\I-Drive\Private
Details: Access is denied.
Give me a damned password prompt if the access is denied instead of using the account credentials that do not work!
Anyone know how to force Explorer to use...
Looks good for power usage.
Was using 13w while streaming media and uses even less when the drive is not in use (if you allow the drive to power down if no use for X minutes).
Anyone give this a try with the X360? I've got it setup and it works streaming to my laptop, can't get streaming to my desktop working for some reason, but my X360 just says no PC's detected.
Anyone have any issues with trying to get into the control panel again after transfering a lot of files or anything?
Everything was working fine until I started transferring tons of files to it's shared folder, now I can not access the control panel, torrent page, or anything. I've restarted...
That doesn't make any sense. If it was DHCP you would at least be able to connect to it without having to setup a single P2P network to configure it. It would work without modifications and you could set it up as you want right away.
If you leave the NAS on 24/7 or have a high enough setting for the IP lease time set on the router it's not a problem. :)
It isn't difficult if you know what you are doing...but I don't think anyone without a bit of networking knowledge would be able to do it with the setup I have (with the...
What a PITA to setup (this is with the SATA version, which may be different than the IDE).
It was set to a static IP of 192.168.1.1 as the default IP address (which of course is used by my router).
PNMD would not work under Vista (although it really isn't needed).
To get it working I had...
Shipping was $12 here. :(
Thanks though, had a bit of trouble convincing myself that it was worth $35, but I figure if nothing else it'll work as a print server (which I rarely if ever see for less than this).
Wonder if there is anything for bit torrent or 360 sharing, that would be...
My dad took a guess...he thought Jerry Garcia...

Looks the same to me other than the hair...but so do like 10 other people.
