Can anyone address power consumption on these drives? I haven't been able to determine if it's any lower than most of the new spinners. I like speedy access but I've always gone for power economy and if these drives aren't any more effecient I can hardly see the point in the upgrade...
So how do you like it? How are you using it? Just as a TV or as a PC monitor too? How's the non-HD signal upscaling? If you have a minute it'd be great to talk to someone first hand.
The deal is dead for now. The price is $1224 with free shipping and a 4 year extended warranty. Still a better deal than the Best Buy sale price Best Buy of $1299 but no longer an insanely great deal.
Thanks for all the feed back guys. I figured the 2.4 gHz cpu and the 7200 rpm drive was the best combination and that's what I went with.
I knew you guys would chip in once someone got the ball rolling.
What do you think guys? I have two notebooks xps m1530 that are the same price. One with a 2.5gHZ C2D and 320mb HD @5400 and one with 2.4gHz C2D and 320mb @7200 rpm. Which combo will give me better performance. Help.
Easy
Well, if you're buying if for your own use I suppose it wouldn't matter since you could just return it to the store. Reselling it might be problamatic though.
That's definitely a good deal if you get a unit that works. Reseller ratings seem to have an inordinate amount of complaints about them but it's difficult to tell from those ratings sites sometimes if the complaints are legit. I guess you'll have to take your chances if you buy.
Just Deals...
In that price range and zoom range the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM is a perfect fit. It's got very good quality optics and it's highly regarded by the hi-level amatuer photog. Canon's 70-300 page. There are a lot of people who like this lens a lot. You can read plenty of user reviews...
What does everyone think of the Dell XPS deal? It's an XPS 630, E8400, 6GB DDR2, DL-DVD-RW, 640GB HD and a GeForce 9800GT. I can't seem to configure this deal on Dells site. I forgot to mention the 24 in. monitor.
I'd be interested to hear what you guys think of this hardware for $1349?
Good luck and good job! You shouldn't have any trouble with the rebate. Unlike Circuit City, Staples never seems to have a "minimum price paid" stipulation in their rebate offers. Nice find.
Do it! I'm going to do it this afternoon. You'll get it for the same price as the NewEgg deal, $263.99. You'll also have the added advantage of the 10 day (or 30 day?) money back policy so you can try it and see if it's worth the cost to upgrade over your 8800 GT 512MB. Oh wait, that's me...
Excellent deal, really. I paid $122 for mine and I'm still happy. The SD port makes it a must buy over the POD as far as I'm concerned.
If any new Zen owners want to save a few bucks on the Arm band see my for sale thread. I bought it when I bought the player and never even opened it.
Haha, oh my god that is so apt you have no idea. The 2nd day after the Iphone came out and they were incredibly expensive and you had to wait in line all night...some sideways visor wearing dude backed into my wifes brand new car and tried to leave the scene just as I arrived. After talking...
Overstock.com has Silver 4GB Ipod Nano G3 refurbs for $109.99 here. Shipping is $2.95. Paypal is running a 10% off promotion purchases over $100 at Overstock.Com and some others here.. That's $102 for a refurb 4GB Ipod Nano delivered. Not too shabby.
I have had good luck with Apple...
Thanks falconress. That was a good tip on how to use your posts. We should probably make it a sticky. I just meant that I hadn't found an item, so far, that would prompt me to take advantage of the advantage you so graciously bestow upon us. (Did you like that?) I'm sure the bags of gold...
Thanks Falconcress. I appreciate the effort, although I haven't been able to find any way to take advantage of the prior knowledge yet. One day though...the world will be mine I tell you...MINE!
NIce job. I tried the same thing but my local BB was oos. They had no problem with the price match and my $15 GC just no stock. I'm considering making the drive to Nashua, NH just get a "free" keyboard and mouse. Good job Denithor.
Interesting. It's priced just under what you can get a 8800 GT (after rebate) these days. I think you're right though, for the difference of about $25.00 you can get a much better card in the 8800 GT. This card is supposed to be competing with the ATI 3850 but the price points that seperate...
And what's the m.o.? Do you bring in the Staples ad or tell them about the online ad and have them look it up? Or do you print the page off Staples site? Talking about price matching at CC. I've been to Staples, checked them out online, called Staples several times and am getting pessimistic...
Too true. I showed up on Sunday and my Staples was sold out....but Walmart carries the same one and they were happy to price match. It was totally painless. All they wanted was to be able to keep the section of the ad that listed the price. May still be worth a try.
As far as bluetooth goes, that may be an advantage if your state is going to pass a "hands free Cell Phone only" law for car use. My Nuvi 350 is stellar. I'm only considering this because the Nuvi 350 doesn't have blue tooth. Still trying to figure if it's worth the swap.
I'm confused about where in the lineup these fit. I know they are newer but just for comparison would you say the are lower, equal to, or better than the Nuvi 360?
I think it would be funny too. Course I would have make room for it by taking out the three other Super Bowl Champion shirts and a couple of World Series shirts as well.
My best buddy grew up a Giants fan and I am happy to take his good natured ribbing. As long as everyone keeps these...
You could probably get away with wearing that shirt almost anywhere in New England except for Charlestown, MA and South Boston. You'd be looking for a fight and you'd probably get one.
On the other hand, most real Pats fans (me) know that the Giants opened up a can of whoop ass on us. All...
Moi Caliente! That's a great price on an excellent nav system. I bought the Garmin Nuvi 350 last year for more than that and have never regretted it. The shape and size of a deck of cards makes it extra portable. And believe it or not, the screen size is perfect. Brought it with me to Los...

That's an interesting observation BigFoot. I wonder if you...

It is a good deal but the price of the S5 has come down everywhere recently. Amazon is selling is for $319.99 delivered. They also have the Sanyo eneloops. They are selling the 4 battery charger with 4 AA batterys for $19.33 or just the 8-pak of AA's for $14.99. All of those items qualify...
New fans? Is there something wrong with the fans on the earlier batch? I got in on the second of these things from Best Buy about a month ago but I haven't heard anything about fan problems? What do you hear?
By the way, these are in stock in the Porstmouth, NH store and they are taking...
