Gatwick vs Heathrow - how connected are they

You could always try: Heathrow Express from Heathrow to Paddington. Tube from Paddington to Victoria. Train from Victoria to Gatwick. Unless the M25 is very busy that would probably take longer with the changes though.

***OFFICIAL THREAD: TOP GEAR SEASON 10***

Great episode, the scenery in Switzerland/Italy where they were looking for the ultimate driving road was just breathtaking. Nice little dig at Fifth Gear too :P

    Jeremy Allford of AGN3D.com

:( Like many others I thought he'd passed away a while back. I too started out on AGN3D, must be about 9 years ago now, and came over to AT when the forums closed down. I remember the rivalry between the two forums got quite heated at times!

    Hello

Heh, just been having a look round... things seem pretty much the same as they used to be, I'm sure I'll cope ;) I have to say I'm disappointed that NFS4 hasn't made it to 100,000 posts yet though :P

Edmunds First Drive: 2008 BMW M3

I think the 335's time is even more impressive when compared with the other BMWs in the list. The fact that it laps only 0.5 seconds slower than the 507hp M6 is bloody impressive. I think the 335i or the 335d (do you get the diesel version over that side of the pond?) are serious contenders...

    Hello

At the risk of creating a spam thread (do we still call them nefs around here?), I thought I'd drop by and say hi. I've not been around for a while and things seem to have changed a bit around here! It must be a good 3 years since I've posted anything on these boards, I still see some...

    Huge Explosion in England

Don't think this has been posted yet. A fuel depot just north of London, England has been been hit by a huge explosion. Potentially 60 million gallons of oil http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4517962.stm

***OFFICIAL*** TOP GEAR Season 7 Thread (Update: December 27 Show Info!)

That's not the reason they appear on Top Gear though - Clarkson wouldn't have anything to do with that idea!! He is just a big fan of civil engineering and loves bridges/tunnels/you name it. He presented a great program a while back proclaiming Isambard Kingdom Brunel to be the greatest Briton...

***OFFICIAL*** TOP GEAR Season 7 Thread (Update: December 27 Show Info!)

Not a bad episode. The M6 vs Aston Martin V8 vs Porsche 911 was quite good. Quality quote from Jeremy at one point though. They were discussing the results of the Top Gear car satisfaction survey and they noticed that 10 out of the last 13 cars were French. "That's clearly why they're...

    Poll: Lego vs Legos

Lego - singular, it's the name of the toy/company. A Lego is not the name for an individual brick, I'd never even heard of the plural form before I came on here, must be an American thing

    ***OFFICIAL*** UEFA Euro 2004 thread

Good result for England! Got off work at 4pm today and have been in the pub for the last seven hours, we didn't really deserve to win by that much, but it will do. We will have to up our game for the next matches if we want to do anything though.

SQL / sqlplus - AutoNumber with IDENTITY

You don't need to do the whole thing of creating a trigger as is done in the link that bunker posted. Once you have created your table then just create a sequence that you can use to generate a unique sequence of numbers. This is done in the following way: CREATE SEQUENCE complaint_s; You can...

    Addressing Our Obsession with Obesity

hmm, interesting reading. A Fat Tax is already being considered here and the way things seem to...

    SQL Question

There are a number of ways to acheive this, one way in Oracle is to use an analytic function (look them up in the help files if you don't know too much about them as they can be very handy) The outer query is just to make sure we only get one row back here. SELECT * FROM (SELECT FIRST_VALUE...
