Running Windows 7 on MB?

I am running Win7 on my Core Duo Macbook Pro just fine. It is a Beta afterall, but no issues that I have encountered. As for the MB, I am not sure if all/any of the drivers are mature for Win7. For Vista they are, so I would assume they are for Win7, but you never know. :)

Weird 8800GTS SLI Issue

I believe SLI for the newer 8800 video cards is not fully enabled unless you use the latest 100.xx beta drivers. I think I read this on www.techreport.com. G/L, Ed

edblor here yo! I love my GL SR60s. $110.00 at a local Audio store, and I have not looked back:) I would say that they produce a more accurate soundstage, and the bass is present, but not too overpowering like some Sony's or Pannys! G/L buying Mike...now get back to work you slacker;) Ed

system won't power on

Start backwards by removing everything non-essential to powering on the PC. If the PC turns on (you get hardware beeps), then start adding components 1 by 1. Troubleshooting is fun, ain't it? IMO, the PSU is fvcked. If you have a spare, try using it. G/L, Ed

LCD resolution issue

So I switch the LCD to the VGA (with an VGA cable), and put the CRT on the DVI port (with a DVI-VGA adapter). In this configuration, I can choose anything up to 2048x1536 for either display. Now the CRT looks fine at 2048x1536 on the DVI port with the VGA adapter. But the LCD on the VGA port...

NVidia or ATI for HTPC PVR system? Which of the two cards?

PXE help!

Thanks a ton for replying cmetz:) I am/was aware that Linux can do PXE, and of course Win2k/2k3 both support PXE. I actually downloaded an awesome little app that does PXE/TFTP and I actually got the laptop to recognize and pick up an IP from my other laptop that hosted this neat little app...

Computer Crashing

Sounds like it could be the PSU. If it is not rated high enough, you could be really max'ing it out during intensive MMORPGS action. Remember that with those types of games, you have network, video, HDD action all going at once, and a PSU not big enough will fail to deliver the needed voltage...

Laptop troubles, no boot.

The CMOS battery is NOT required for booting, only required to maintain time and BIOS settings when the computer is off. Try removing the laptop HDD and then attempt boot-up. If you get an OS not found, or if the laptop goes striaght into the BIOS, you know it is a dud HDD. If it continues...
