It's definitely capable of running the system during stressful situations. The only thing I might be worried about is when booting up. I think it should work fine, however.
6800nu running with stock cooling, unlocked and overclocked. Running beautifully after almost 2 years.
I also still have a TNT2 that is used on a daily basis for old school gaming. 7 years? Not bad I guess.
Sure, they're safe temps, but my OC'd 3000+ doesn't see above 38 degrees.
I'm going to hazard a guess as to that you have a bad temp diode. It's relatively common.
Ah, but it's a different game my friend. It was done by a totally different studio. It's the same concept, but the levels and things are totally different from what I've heard. It's also entirely first person.
Venice for sure. My 3000+ (E6) can push 2.6 on stock voltage and fan. I don't see the need to run at that all of the time seeing how my video card is a bit of a bottleneck.
I was reading in an interview with CliffyB sometime ago and I think I recall him saying that the minumum GPU would probably be around a 6600 GT. Keep in mind that's probably the BARE minimum.
Are you sure that's not fahrenheit? 'Cause that would make sense if it was.
If you were running at that temp, I think you'd be having some serious issues.
And it's not uncommon to just have a dud of a temp. sensor.
If you're handy with a soldering iron I think you can easily volt mod the AsRock.
Anyways. I have nothing but praise for the AsRock. OCs fairly well even at stock.
I still have a Ti4200 in my "old" P4 2.8 machine. Plays CSS, HL2, UT2004 and Guild Wars among others marvelously.
Best money I've ever spent on a graphics card - bar none.
I've got a Venice 3000+ (E6) at the settings below.
It will idle at around 36C and under load it only raises by about 2 or 3 degrees. As a little test I unplugged the CPU fan (I know it doesn't sound like a good idea) and went into the BIOS and the temp slowly rose up to about 45C at which...
If price wasn't an issue obviously I'd go for the 4800+, but reasonably I think I'd be just as satisfied with the 4400+. Especially once you overclock the crap out of it.
