Whats the minimum PSU Wattage for an Athlon 64 3000+ ?
I just built an Athlon 64 3000+
2x 256 PC3500 Mushkin ram
Albatron K8X800 Pro II board
Antec 350 watt PSU
ATI 9600 XT
On boot up it randomly says CPU error through the PC speaker...
When it does boot up it boots up fine...
Wondering what...
I forgot the exact details of the activation process.... for example I activated a copy of windows server 2003 that I got from school, what happens if I change upgrade the system entirely?
Do I have to call up microsoft?
Thanks
I meant for the VIN they put NA....
The ticket was 45 bucks for a stupid street sweeping. On Thursdays 1 to 3 they street sweep the right side, while on Wednesday its the left. I figured they were both the same sign. I did see the Wednesday one.
Should I just wait for the ticket or contest?
I was in LA, CA and I got a parking ticket, but the meter person put down the wrong license plate and there was no VIN on the ticket.
Should I pay it?
Should I contest it?
Thanks guys!
For freeeee?
Nah... took too long to dremel those two damn aluminum face plates for that damn intake fan and mount the vapochill.
I think just last week asetek started selling the vapochill unit by itself.
Read what BZeto wrote, that was my experience w/ the two fans as well.
The antec is WAY brighter compared to the CoolerMaster, but the Antec lacks a 3 pin connector its only a 4.
I did order blue leds at www.plycon.com that I liked. They seem just as bright as the Antecs and had a 3 pin....
The problem is which one to believe.....
So your saying the MBM is correct and gigabyte program is wrong?
If thats the case I should increase my vcore some more =)
Update.. Wait..
I think MBM readings are incorrect except for the CPU temp.
If you use the easytune program voltages do not seem...
After playing w/ my gigabyte board 667 Ultra here are the results:
Hardware specs:
2x 512 Mushkin pc2700
P4 2.0a @ 150 for 3 GHz
145 for 2.9
140 for 2.8
2.8 Requires a cold boot if usb 2.0 is enabled
2.9 Same
3.0 Requires a cold boot no matter what.
Maybe this sheds some light on the...
I ran a 1.8a @ 2.7ghz...... voltage 2.1 or 2.05..... died in a month =)
Ran my other 1.8a @ 2.4 voltage 1.72 for a year fine...
On vapochill setup though.. idle was 4 degrees C
Trying to hit 3 Gigahetz with this 2.0a... with a 1.8V
Check the ram to see if its double sided or single sided.
Then go check the manual only certain combinations can be used if one stick is double sided or two sticks are double sided.

10% coupon is on in certain magazines... check the threads.
I know on page 117 of maxim december issue there is a coupon.
I bought this printer for my gf.
Yeah it is, but I do not think its wise.
1) Condensation
2) Air can not dissipitate enough heat from the peltier to make the peltier effective, but this depends on what peltier you use.
If you use a peltier that is too small it might be worse than standard HSF.
Just some thoughts...
Currently in the market for a laser printer.
Something not too expensive, less than 200 would be nice.
Just wanted to know what your opinions on certain brands and models.
What to stay away from. Are toners around the same price for all laser printers these days?
Try plugging in speakers or head phones into the on board sound card and see if the motherboard will tell you whats wrong.
That was the nicest thing about this board. I believe a jumper on the motherboard has to be set on as well.
I figured it out finally. it was a PCI card that I was using. A netgear 10/100 base Netowork Card to be exact. I tried other netgears and I have the same problem. I am yet to try a different brand NIC
THanks for the help
I have a Asus P4b533, everything is stock no overclock. I installed Win XP and it installed fine. but when im in there it crashes.. pretty soon
im running on stock heatsink an fan. tested multiple RAMs but that doesn't seem to be the problem
Intel P4 1.8Ghz
FSB = 100mhz
CPU temp is about 40 C...
Is anyone having problems with their Adaptec 2930 in Win XP ?
I tried replacing the adaptec card with another one and rechecked all the cabling and termination but my cd-rw drive seems like it is resetting itself and reinitializing.
Only does this once in a while.
Nothing is wrong w/ the...
Anyone else get this?
I get a blue screen after I log into my XP computer says bleh bleh bleh nv4dsp.dll ....
Could be a program I could be running on startup, just wanted if anyone else had this problem.
I felt the same way. I didn't want to deal with the 1.6A's low clock multiplier.
I have a vapochill case and my 1.8A does 2.7Gighertz at 2.04 Voltage.....12 idle 29 full load.
At fsb 150 my pci is not too far out of spec and my memory crucial 2100 can run at Cas 2.5 fastest timings.

All this bios does is allow you to use 2.1 voltage on your CPU.
Got my 1.8A running at 1.95 @ 2710 Mhz the extra .175 voltage I used gave me about another 120 mhz or so.
My 1.8A stopped at 2.42Gigahertz 1.775 Air Cooled HSF.
Went to 2.54 Vapochilled and now 2.7 with more voltage!
My...
I was playing with Memtest86 2.9 last night and my crucial on my P4B266 board can only go 142 fsb anything over that will get zillions of errors...
Maybe they went bad since I oc'd them at 3.0 voltage.
Tried a stick of my room mates ram still get errors at 148 FSB... but alot less.
Personally...
If your getting cable modem and not using a router then most likely you will have to change it back to Dynamic IP settigns and your NIC would get a IP off the cable modem.
Your cable modem maybe even static depending on your service.
With the cable modem on the nic I don't htink it will take...
It can be overclocked if the motherboard has a Front Side Bus setting (FSB)...
If you can get it to something other than 66 then you can overclock it.
Go though the user manual and look on the motherboard for jumpers to do such.
Yup just built my P4 system.
When I overclock my intellimouse just blinks at startup of the bios as soon as I plug it ... boot up begins as normal.
I started using the Usb to PS/2 connector I'm going to play around with this some more.
I'm using the 1005 beta 4 bios I believe.
