ATX HTPC Case which fits Thermalright Shaman

I'm running a GTX 580 at the moment. According to this: http://www.anandtech.com/show/4008/nvidias-geforce-gtx-580/17 It uses 173 Watts at idle. That's insane.

Hello all. Is it possible to dynamically switch between the Intel Integrated graphics on sandy/ivy bridge chips and a discrete gpu to save energy? It seems crazy that I have a GPU that uses 100W at idle when 90% of the time I could get by with just the integrated. (The 10% being gaming.)...

That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks. Is there really any reason to not do this? Why not always set the non-turbo to a low clock speed like 1.6GHz with a 3.5GHz turbo?

48 fps without moving. This is an example of what I was saying. Huge expanse, decent FPS. Start moving in the trees and it drops to 25-35 fps.

Thanks for the input. I did already revert my INI file to the LOW setting. You'd think that it would be rock solid at 60 FPS with that. But it isnt. It'll dip down as low as 45 still with that. The whole 30 FPS on the loading screen seems to be independent of VSYNC. It does it either...

yes 1080p I put it on "low" setting and while I do get 60 FPS, it's not rock solid and it randomly drops to 30 FPS....
