I have a Philips 107E6 CRT monitor which since yesterday has failed to power up when i press the power on key ... i tried using other power cables too, but still no joy. Please help.

robisbell, as far as the HDD's go, there isnt any HDD with 2 power sources connected. The power next to the SATA is just dangling there, there is no connection. As for the video card, why is it necessary if we established that it is not the cause of the problem. I am a simpleton when it...

The technician at the ASUS service centre says that he has encountered a similar problem with that family of motherboards and that it needs a Northbridge replacement ... I have left it with him and he said it will be up and running by tomorrow ...

okay! ... I took the system to the asus service centre here and got the BIOS flashed to the new version. NEW PROBLEM: Now there is no display when the system is switched on. I am running 2x1GB CORSAIR XMS2-6400 800Mhz RAM chips on my system. When swapped out with other capacities of RAM...

ok now im in trouble because i have to source a processor! ... ok just a quick query ... when i remove the HSF and change the processor, do i also have to buy thermal paste to use when i am replacing the processor again? If it is mandatory, which one should i get??? thx. I found...

I have purchased a new processor (AMD Phenom 9850 Black Edition) and a new GPU (XFX Nvidia GTX 260) (and btw, its a BIG ASS CARD!!! I have a gigabyte 3D aurora casing and it barely managed to fit in there after alot of prying!!!) ... So back to the problem, I installed these parts myself and...

Which Headphones?

Would radio frequency transmitting headphones interfere with my router and/or cordless phone in my room? Router (transmits at 2.4 Ghz ) and Phone (Transmits at 900 Mhz) If it is the case isnt the infra red option more viable?

would the Dell 2408 WFP do the trick or would you recommend something else? My main usage will be for multimedia viewing(heavily) and a little gaming with some media editing (photoshop etc)

Newbie's Guide To WaterCooling

Well whats your take on total kits ... like the 3D galaxy from Gigabyte. I am using a Gigabyte 3D Aurora chassis and think that the 3D galaxy would fit just nicely into the chassis.

oh gr8 thanks ... but what about the remaining requirements ... ? And as for the gaming bit, im just an average gamer who does not look to excellent quality ... i probably just play counter strike or WOW for maybe a few hours a week. I think the GPU u mentioned ought to be more than enough...

so to view a full HD 1080p stream i will need a monitor that has HDCP keys and also a graphics card with the same right? and am i safe to assume that digital (DVI) stream is more prefferable to analogue (VGA)? so with the resolution my monitor supports, will i be viewing the 720p upsized...
