Soon a lot of you and I will be getting 60 gig and 80 gig drives because the prices are coming down.
I read all the files on this board on partitioning and so now I am going to try to set the record straight.
Best way to partition those big drives is first of all NOT to create a...
Noriaki,
No. You don't have to spend any money. Lots of hard drive companies have drive image software which you can download for free from their sites. For example, Maxtor has the Maxblast software. Just run the software no matter what type of drive you have. It will allow you to make an...
What is the fastest computer that is available especially for rendering? Is it the latest Mac or the recent 1 GHz PCs. And next year when 2 Ghz PCs become available, will that be faster than Macs. And does anyone know if OS Mac 10 will be able to run on those fast PCs?
You can always adjust your monitor so that the background is not so bright. That's what I do. I personally prefer yellow text on black background but I also know of a lot of people who hate white or yellow on black background. Everyone has their own preference.
The Intel PC Pack also has reasonably good sharp quality. Logitech and Kensington have the worst quality I've seen. I don't know the difference between the 3com or the Intel but if the 3com is really great then you might as well get the best for a few more dollars. There is nothing that is more...
Yeah. Ghost is the best backup software. However, I have found that having a second drive and making numerous partitions to be a very effective basic backup system. I keep all my major programs on different partitions then my operating system so that if my main drive crashes, I can reformat and...
Thank you for the Smart and Friendly address however it appears that some other company has taken them over and when I emailed them their response was:
Thank you for contacting ECI. Smart and Friendly is no longer in business or providing support for its CD Recorders. ECI has provided third...
I want to buy some blank Fuji 80 minute CDs that are on sale but there are some questions.
1. Will my old 2006 two speed Smart and Friendly CD recorder be compatible with these 80 minute CDs and;
2. I have heard that some types of CDs will not play in every CD player. Can someone inform me if...
The problem is that you have to buy a $200 DSL modem and if you are already using a free ISP like Netzero or some other ad flashing ISP then you will end up having two large ads running on your computer -- one by DSL and the other by Netzero.
You should be able to adjust the size of the picture for the Intel PC Pro cam. If not get some different software but the camera should be pretty good. Whatever you do, don't trade it in for those incredibly crappy Logitech cams. If anyone has one of those blurry Logitech pieces of junk they...
Every time I try recording music to a blank CD with my two-speed CD-Recorder, I get part of the way through and then get a RESET error. Each time it happens at a different time in the process so it is not just something that happens with one song. Any one have any ideas what could be going on...
Thanks, but I had the CD burner working once so there is no hardware incompatibility problem. And the external burner is connected by a SCSI card and the SCSI card has no yellow exclamations in device manager.
Two Problems on Windows 98SE.
1. Can't Access my external CD Recorder. No icon for it on Desktop.
2. Can't Access Bios with F8. Nothing happens when tapping F8 on bootup. Restart and Control Key will not work either. Also, I see no yellow exclamations in Device Manager.
Does anyone have any...
I would like to upgrade my net connection from 56K to something much faster.
I have been told of a satellite wireless company that will give you 400K download speeds for 19.99 per month and I am considering getting this service. I also think that you can use a Direct TV satellite to get both...
