    I get my medical insurance through my company. It's blue shield of cali too. They take a little under $20 from paycheck for it, so it's about $40 a month for me. My car insurance is with E-surance. I pay $500 for 6 months for a 99 Ford Escort (23 yr/old btw).

    Usually my hands are at 9 and 3 on the wheel. a lot of the time though i rest my right hand on the passenger seat and just drive with my left. i don't know how i picked up that habit.

    Old VWs are terrible I hear. My sister had a 91 Jetta and that thing was just a collection of problems on wheels. If you want cheap and reliable I'd say go for an old BMW, Saab or Volvo. Yeah they're ugly, but they'll get you where you wanna go.
