Thanks for the help and fast response.
I have no open ports in the wired router. Its a 4 port router, 3 spots taken by PC's 4th taken by router # 2. I still have a couple of devices to plug in.. like my DVD player.
Will I need to purchase a router with more ports?
Okay I have the need to hook 3 routers together.. first router is a regular wired router for my PC's. Second router is a wireless router for my cell phones, and has DHCP turned off in settings, so I guess its considered an access point. 3rd router is a Sprint Femtocell (Airwave) and is hooked up...
Yes both submerged. I am not to worried about it... its more common than people think.
One guy who salvages old PC's has bathed hundreds or thousands of mobo's in the sink so they will look like new. Also I understand they are washed in industrial dishwashers at the manufactures to get off all...
My Corsiar H50 sprung a leak all over my mobo and video card, PC would not stay booted longer than a minute after that. After consulting the almighty Google for a while I gathered that my best bet would be to give the mobo and video card a bath. I put them in the sink with some dish soap (cold...
Well I thought it was impossible but my 3 year old 42 inch LCD Insignia brand TV got a bad case of image burn... had the web browser burned into it.
It was under Best Buy warranty but I don't think it was a covered problem. The tech who came out was cool and found other faults with my...
Thanks for the suggestions... I played around a little to much and lost my raid array and wasn't able to restore it, so I will have to put my problems on hold for a couple of days.
My old hard drives have my windows keys on them. ( A document ) Trying to find a way to access the drives now.
Overclocking was mentioned a page or two ago... I would like to put my 2 cents on that.
I have an i7 rig and I am on my 3rd chip to find a decent overclocker, and even then I shelled out more money for a higher end CPU to put the odds in my favor. I know that's a little steep but the...
I am very pleased with my upgrade... my 930 was a lazy S.O.B.
Anyway I have been screwing around with this chip for a couple of days now. I am running CPU at 1.2125 (reports 1.18 in CPUz)
Currently at 4.0 GHz but have been at 4.2 Ghz at the same voltage.
Prime 95... runs for me as...
Okay I must be missing something real simple.. as soon as I unplug the 19" LCD the main display stops working... even after a reboot???
Nevermind.. figured it out. :P
Its Fixed! After 3 weeks of trying..
evolucion8, I was trying what you suggested but I couldn't load Windows 7 to make the changes.. so I brought back out my old 19" LCD to do a dual monitor. The problem ended up being a funky refresh rate. Once I selected 60 Hz the picture popped right up...
I am not able to use my HDTV using ATI 64 bit drivers no matter what I do.. I have googled until the cows come home with no luck.
This is my old system I gave to my wife to use with the TV... Installed a 5770 before giving it to her. Worked fine on my monitor at the same resolution.

Yeppers,
i7 930 @ 4 Ghz. Can do 4.2 pretty easy.. but it gets a little to warm. (HT On)
My Voltages are a tad above what some consider safe.. but I plan on upgrading the CPU anyway at some point. If it fries I will have my very first Intel keychain.
While browsing for hardware I have discovered that I can get a qx9650 for less than the price of a q9650. (300ish) (Ebay)
This would lower my build price and pretty much guarantee that I meet my goal of 4 Ghz.
Is a qx9650 a bad performer clock to clock against an I7??
Would my memory...
I didn't know about Rocket Fish being a Best Buy store brand.. but I do know that Dynex power supplies are a Best Buy brand. I have a 500W and it appears identical to Antec, so possibly made by Antec?
Research found lots of happy users/overclockers using that PS.
My daughter used to work at...
I got my invite from Gillbot (Thanks) so its only right if I give a couple away here. Just PM me. If we keep this up then anyone here that wants one should have an invite.
My kids machine is a q9550 and its better than my system.
My system will play any game..
So its really a matter of.. how badly the upgrade bug bites you.
I remember them well as I bought one. I think my first one was 800 Mhz.. then the compressor took a dump so they replaced the whole PC with the 1 Ghz model. Once I got the new 1 Ghz I took it to a hardware store and traded it for hardware.
They where good people to do business with.
Okay, this guy has a point. I was a waiter once... great way to make FAST cash due to the tips... you do not have to wait 2 weeks for a check. In todays economy it might be hard.. but in the past it was easy to get a job as a waiter.
Plus I got to eat good... tbone steak everyday.
Getting a good job takes time.. I bothered a paper company for about 2 years by submitting a resume every week, because if they where not hiring at the time the resume went in the garbage.
About the same time I started applying for municipal jobs..
Wouldn't you know it... after about 2 years...
BINGO! I work in wastewater treatment for the last 17 years.. It costs us the same to provide service no matter how much you use/waste.
Another reason for price increases is that in most (all??) major cities the pipes are old and rotted on both the freshwater and wastewater sides. These...
I don't know what SFF is, but I have installed 3 of them in the last month and like them all. I just hope they don't start leaking in a couple of years.
I would have to say that they are about the same as both have a 120 MM fan. For the H50 I am using 2 fans on the radiator for a push/pull effect. The pump seems to be not audible .
