Tivo fan - really loud

Found this on SPCR - fan fan blingy fan I have always sent my Tivo to Weaknees for hard drive upgrades. Shipping the unit for just a fan replacement might not make sense, but they do sell replacement fans - lotsa fans Search is my friend - it can be your friend, too. :)

The Antec cases are generally made for quiet, especially the P180/182. For a ton of info check out silentpcreview - here I would take the Tuniq or a Thermalright cooler over the Zalman any day. Anandtech review DE

It has an optical and a hard drive. The optical is at the very top, hidden in this photo by the piece that extends back from the 5.25 cage. The HD is visible in the pic, at the very top. It's reversed so the cables are hidden. Worklog here. DE

Buying a digital Camera, need opinion on this Panasonic...

Radioshack is having a great blowout sale on this Canon - here, if you're looking for an even cheaper option. 5MP is plenty for snapshots, and I've had great luck with the little Canons. DE

For low maintenance - I would make sure you keep the gunk out of your loop. Flush the rad thoroughly before installing it, following the instructions in this post - Link Don't mix metals in your loop - avoid waterblocks containing aluminum and keep it all-copper is the easiest way...

Who has actually broken a motherboard due to a big heatsink?

I get what you guys are saying - and I agree it does seem to be standard propaganda without any facts to back it up. However, I don't think the whole board violently snapping in two is actually the issue. More like - the strain could cause a soldered joint to break. FWIW, DE
