This is unbelievable... 3rd Acer 2216, and YET ANOTHER PROBLEM. Again, on the LCDresource.com homepage, the entire left side of the page flickers (the panel flickers). It only seems to happen on this website, but NONE of my other monitors does this, and I have fiddled with all the settings...

Well, I've got a week old Acer 2216WBD (second unit, after an exchange) - with a couple stuck pixels (green) that appear on certain colours - they come on and off, but you can sometimes see them at boot up, or on the right coloured background. Now, my question: is this something you live with...

Haha - I can't believe this. Boot up the computer today, and blam - 4 stuck pixels spread out accross the top of the monitor (Acer 2216WBD). I have to say, I'm extremely disappointed - 2 bad panels in a row? Looks like I'll be going somewhere else than Acer henceforth... maybe back to LG. The...

Well - upon some last minute fiddling around with my video card settings, I got the bars to go away - I found that the contrast was too high. It now looks beautiful, and I definitely won't be returning the monitor. Thankfully - cause I was getting tired of the sight of futureshop/Best Buy!

Its an Acer 2216... and yeah, it is completely down the right side - about two inches off the side. Looks like a line running right down the screen. Looks like it'll be going back (second one, best buy is gonna be pleased haha). Maybe I'll just find something else - not going to bring a third...

No - flickered while it was sitting on the page ;) I picked up another Acer, and when comparing it to my LG204WT I decided that I would keep the acer. The larger screen ended up costing me 10 dollars more, and the picture was fine - to be honest. No dead pixels, no banding issues, great...

Will a PS3 be sufficient to play Blu Rays at 1080p?

Because HD-DVD, at least the players I have seen, are listed at 1080i (interlaced), vs. 1080p (progressive). I may have overlooked the recent ones, though.

Asrock 939 dual sata 2 overclocking help

I followed the settings, and have my computer running at 250mhz FSB, w/ ram steady at DDR400... Getting 2.26ghz out of my 3000+ venice; not bad. Runs well! Gonna have to run a Prime95 test on it. Thanks for this post!

Sheesh; thats not bad at all... maybe I'll push er' to 2200 mhz, then. I dunno - 400 over stock on stock cooling seems like it'd get hot during load. I'll just have to be careful, I suppose ;)

The ASRock 939 Dual SATA II Works perfectly with my AGP 8x card... and I love that it has the PCI E slot for future upgrades (for when Vanguard comes out, of course ;))

Well, I currently have my 3000 running at 2000mhz, vs. the stock speed of 1800mhz. I am currently running the stock heatsink and fan. Should I be concerned about overheating with this setup? I didn't figure it was a significant overclock to warrant a fan upgrade. However, am I wrong...

Problem solved: New Cable, and set to "Master/Slave" rather than cable select. Thanks again for helping me out guys; was worried I'd have to RMA it!

Strange; I unplugged the secondary HDD (my 200gig) and I don't get the startup hang anymore. Any ideas guys? Should I change them from "cable select", jumper setting wise, to "Master/slave"???

Thanks for the advice; I'll try that. I've set my first boot device to my main HDD, but still no luck there. I'll try the unplug everything method; hopefully that brings an end to this issue.
