Techreport have one (well it was for the 2600xt but crossfire numbers are included in almost every benchmark) although it wasn't done with very recent drivers.
xtknight, I was just wondering where you thought Eizo's new s2031w would fit in? Here's its product page: http://www.eizo.com/products/lcd/s2031w/index.asp
And here is a specifications comparison between it and the NEC LCD20WGX2(pro) over at Prad.de. I only chose the NEC because both panels...
Well I spun it round and it definitely just had an analogue connector. The UK store at HP's webby seems to confirm that: http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc...3-314303-13153556.html
I'm sure I remember reading something about a European tax which only applies when a digital connector is present...
Ah well, I managed to get time to make a trip to a local store to check out some LCD monitors and ended up walking out with a Samsung 931BW. Seeing it side by side with the HP w2207 (which is what I had thought I would be leaving with) I honestly couldn't tell any difference in the quality of...
I had thought about returning it but I won't be. The pre-installed accelero x2 is a nice touch, and it is faster than a x1950pro although the slow clocks obviously cut into the difference. I don't have the most demanding selection of games but it has run every single one of them at 1600x1200...
Hmm I've actually got the same issue as you Scougar and mine is a Powercolor that was bought within the past week or so. It scores higher than the stock x1950pro cards I see on the futuremark ORB, but it isn't clocked at 650/1800 like xt's should be, it is just using 625/1400 as if it was a pro...
Will having this higher gamut colour really be much of an improvement for these TN panels? I also wonder if they will be charging a big price premium for them over the older models. If it's not too much extra then I guess I could maybe hold out for one of them, although with production only...
Have you guys seen any announcements concerning the new widescreen models AG Neovo is releasing?
The H-w22 is the value offering, no doubt a TN panel: http://www.agneovo.com/global/products/h-w22.htm . It's available here on pre-order for £191.84.
The E-w22, well I'm not qualified to...
That's what I thought Bernard, "Why the hell haven't these reviews been translated and stuck onto the main THG site?". 22-inch seems to be where a lot of people are looking right now and articles such as those above seem perfect as an aid to deciding on a model. (along with xtknight's guide...
These three roundups over at the russian tomshardware site (babelfish makes them quite readable) seem to cover most of the main 22" models that might be of interest to people. The obvious (and pretty crucial) omission is the LG L226WTQ.

"The Spyder2 (even Express) colorimeter's a much better choice, BTW. The Huey actually made things worse in this review: http://www.behardware.com/arti...tion-for-0-to-100.html"
It's pretty scandalous that they can charge upwards of £60 for a device which might actually make your image...
That runs counter to everything I've been told which suggests the jump to 20" with a 1680x1050 resolution makes for a much more comfortable screen, not to mention quite a lot more desktop space to work in.
Thanks for the help xtknight + BernardP! I think I am going to opt for that Philips model since it ticks all my boxes really, the price is quite steep but it's not like I'm going to rush out and buy another LCD monitor in a year's time...or even 2/3 year's time come to think of it...I guess my...

I've added the panel technologies to your quote. Essentially, they are all good choices. I assume you specifically looked for PVA/MVAs. (I wish those were more available in the US.)
I'm not as confident of the PW201 or Belinea's performance...
Hey guys. I realise this is a somewhat futile request since it will ultimately come down to my own decision, but looking at the following shortlist of monitors, do any stand out immediately as being better or worse than the rest?:
Acer al2032wa
Acer al2051ws
Asus pw201
Belinea 102035w...
Hey guys.
Can anyone think of reasons as to why http://www.lambda-tek.com/comp...ndex.pl?prodID=1051637 this offer of an acer 2032wa at £196.54 might not be all it seems to be? I've already noticed their product description is for a 2032wm instead (which...
I do agree about the Belinea Bernard, but I can't find it in stock at any store I trust. It had been available for only £176.24 but I guess that was a last of stock clearing out price since they aren't giving any indication of receiving more. Why couldn't I have been looking to buy instantly...
Hah, I had almost settled on this monitor but the price here just puts me right off. At £235 it's only £6 cheaper than a Dell 2007wfp (also pretty expensive at £240.58). Now I see on Newegg that the al2051w sells for $239.99 for you guys, I mean seriously why do I have to live in such a rip-off...
Since RTS is still my favourite genre, there remains no true substitute for a PC.
edit - I'd say try and sell off your current 7800gt and buy the x1900xt. Even then you might struggle to play everything with high quality settings at your monitor's native resolution.
OK, this isn't 100% certain, but I'm sure I read that the opteron 165 won't be included in any price-cuts and if anything it will actually receive a price increase to emphasize its role as a server cpu(and to spoil the overclockers' fun).
Hi there, I'm still running a pc with a radeon9600 le(agp) and the performance just sucks to be honest. I've been looking at cheap possible upgrades(I don't really want to splash out lots since directx10 is near)and came up with the following:
1. Geforce 7600GS 256mb gddr2 - £64.98

I say problem but it is more of an annoyance really. Nevertheless, whenever I use certain apps on my computer for a reasonably long period, it's like part of my connection dies and I can no longer load any webpages/check email. All I've been able to figure out is that all the programs involve...
Wow this thread is long :)
Apologies if this has been asked already but I gave up at about page 40 and skipped to the end. Given that ULi was bought by nvidia recently, is the am2 riser card still guaranteed to make an appearance? Will the ULi drivers receive any further updates to ensure...
Hey guys. I've lately been considering buying one of these and I just had one concern with regard to the am2 riser card.
I'd be looking to buy a fairly chunky cpu cooler, along the lines of a zalman cnps9500(assuming an am2 compatible revision) or thereabouts, but just how suitable is...
