Not sure what i have managed to do, recently i have been getting this message when i boot up and then every 15-20mins at regular intervals. This morning i booted my PC and low and behold the message appeared. Two options "Ignore" "close" (I would post an image of this error...
Sorry, i re-read that, its not very clear.
Basically the internal wirless adaptor won't connect to the wireless router. and it has to be enabled manually. i have the correct credentials but it says "error connecting"
has anyone had this problem? or any bright ideas

It seems that my dad, has manged to re-install windows, to his (brand new) "acer aspire 9500" due to some corrupt .dll file. I have to admit, to some peer pressure but eitherway we are down a laptop as the internal wireless adaptor won't accept anything we type in.

I removed the casing, jossled the hdd and then shoved a pencil in the motherboards fan. The fan is mounted on a heatsync. Can i remove the fan? or should i purchase a new one and put up with the humming untill the new one arrives.. my parents have guests...

I have come to the conclusion that it is a motherboard hum but again i am un aware how to eliminate it.. i can hear it humming away from downstairs!
Any ideas, will i need to post what type of motherboard i have?...
