Which Ipod to get?

Didn't online orders work too? I remember there was something about that last year, that made it easier to get the stuff that sold out quick, since they do have some stock piles at their distribution centers (and they end up doing that for you instore later in the morning anyway).

I did see a flyer with these items in it. I have a pair of those gloves, they're pretty good for stuff where you need good feel. Work okay for biking in cooler weather too.

ECS L4VXA2 and 2.4 celeron

Alrighty, did a reinstall with APM disabled in the BIOS, and things are looking much better at this point. Inistially, I tried turning off APM and then booting in the previous Win install, and it kept rebooting ie endless looping, therefore the reinstall.

I'll give that a shot when I get home. I tried running the fail-safe setting on the bios, and that made things much worse (wouldn't even finish booting). Then I tried the optimized sttings, and it actually lasts longer before it freezes now (I made it an hour).

Hmmm, I messed with the BIOS some more last night, and tried the fail-safe setting... big mistake. Never even would finish booting into windows. Then I tried the optimized settings, and it was a ton better. It seems the harder I push it, the more stable it is.

I found a link to a beta build 1039... My friend was looking for build 1069 or newer. I definately wouldn't think of running a beta unless I had a problem that I hoped would be cured.

Viable Lunux/BSD implementation?

Shouldn't one of those Linksys broadband routers do the trick? Those are only like $100 new, so you might be able to find one in the used/sale forum for cheaper.

XP installation problem, files will not copy

I put a different (older) cd-rom drive in, and it worked fine... The first cd-rom was a 40x samsung, and worked fine for win98se install, and win2k install, but on both retail and burned versions of XP there were certain files it couldn't copy.

I guess sticking these in the same box as my GF2pro would be silly:P I do have an old 4meg Matrox Milenium in my linux box that I could swap out. This sounds like a fun little project (even though it isn't really productive in the literal sense of the word).

Thanks all, so if I understand correctly, I will have 3 vid cards in the computer at the same time? The 2 voodoos, and then the other (does it matter what?). I think then that I understand why the cards were appearing funny in the hardware profile.
