    That cable you linked I attached to the power connector and put it in the power slot on the mobo. There's ANOTHER slot for the ATX12V cable, but I don't see another cable to actually put in there. Am I missing it or should I detach the big one?

    Windows isn't even installed yet. Every fan in the thing is working, including the video card, but I can't get anything to appear on the monitor. There appears to be no signal going to the monitor, but visually I see nothing wrong. There's an LED on the motherboard that works just fine...

    No, no gaming whatsoever on this thing. Not my PC, my dad's. He does not game, at all. And video capture will be from an analog camcorder. Red yellow and white plugs and whatnot. TV capture wouldn't hurt either.

    Cannot Mount boot Volume

    I just restarted my PC and got that very weird blue screen with the message that it Could Not Mount Boot Volume. A reboot got me to the "Checking Disc Drive" part, and then I got a Disc Read Error and it said to hit ctrl-alt-del to restart. I've rebooted several times, and I always get one...

    I'm gonna get an Xbox 360 soon, and with my 2185w having component inputs, I was hoping to use it as an HDTV. Can I do this and have it look good? My PS2 looks like crap through the component inputs, but the 360 being much stronger, I have high hopes for high def output.

    Process completed, to no avail. Interesting note though. When I plugged the VGA back in, the video mode had reset itself to the meager 800x600 resolution.

    I just plugged my DVI cable into my monitor after exchanging my video card, and I can't get any signal to go to my monitor. What am I doing wrong? If I use a VGA cable (with a VGA to DVI adapter, as my card has 2 DVI ports) it works.

    Actually there's a really cheap VGA to DVI adapter you can get so he could run both monitors on a DVI/VGA card. Tis what i'm doing at the moment. I have like 4, they keep coming with every visual thing I buy.

    My video card currently just half melted down so the DVI port stopped working, but the same monitor on VGA has a very minor quality loss. I can barely tell.

    Gateway FPD2185W or NEC 20WMGX2

    I have had the gateway for about two weeks, and have played many high paced games, and never noticed any ghosting. The response time is fantastic, and the monitor is gorgeous. I dunno about the NEC, but the Gateway is absolutely fantastic.

    A PPU is built for that specfic purpose, that of taking strain off of your video card. Your video card is there to process video. Your processor is there to run other things.
