Will this short circuit my MB??

I found the problem guys, my old board ( P5Q Pro was using an extra stand off which was pressing in between the 2 and 3rd ram slots on the back of the motherboard. It was short circuiting the board whenever I had ram in slor 3 or 4. This makes sense because that was where it was rubbing...

Did you try the F10 Bios? Does your beep about 23 times before it reboots?

GA EP45-UD3P and "Power Error" Memory Issues

I am having the same issue on the same board, I have 2x2GB Crucial Balistix BaBL25664AR80A.16FE5 and they will not boot in slot 3 or 4, only slot 1 and 2. Is 2.2V really safe? Mine are rated for 2.0V at 800Mhz 4-4-4-12. I will try this tonight.

Thanks for the link! I guess it is save to run the ram that high? they are rated at 2.0v so 2.2 is not too high? I hope now. I will try it tonight.

What could cause the ram to work for months in dual channel for the person I bought it from then when he shipped it here it suddenly would not boot anymore like it was? Could static electricity damage the mb or ram when I was installing it? I never noticed any.

ram works in slot 1 and 2 together in single channel mode. Dont know whats going on. Im gonna try some more ram Monday when it comes in. If that doesnt work im going to have to RMA it i guess...

Well there is a guy who lives about 1 hour away who has a Thermaltake Armor Full Tower case and he just wants $50 for it. Im considering driving up there and picking it up. Thats a steal for $50 right?

Best case for around ~$50 shipped

I'm on a budget but I would like to get a case ( even used or refurbished is fine) that will provide good airflow to a Q9500 @4Ghz with a Xigmatek S1283. Also something that can handle large video card (4870x2,5850 etc..) is a must. Any good deals out there now?

stuck at 60hz on Crysis on CRT. PLEASE HELP!

YES!!!! After about 2 days of looking online I finally somehow got Power Strip to get it saved at 1280x1024@100hz or 1600x1200@85Hz. I might be wrong but I think Powerstrip works where all others failed because either it has a slightly different refresh timings or is at a deeper level in the OS...

Yea thats it. Last time I put the same model 500gig seagate in this enclosure it messed up. Can an enclosure damage a hard drive? I hope not.

Here is a current screen of my overclock. I am at 4ghz now :D wOOT! I'm just trying to get prime to be stable. I went from 6mins, to 10mins, to 20mins to 1 hour 40 mins of being stable, each time upping the cpu voltage by 1 notch. Now I am at 1.475V and have not ran prime yet. I hope it...

If I go past 242FSB in the bios it does not want to boot even when I give it up to 1.55v in the bios ( Im afraid to go any more because this board overvolts a little bit) I am running my ram at stock settings all the time to try and test out my chip.

$40 Im at 3.53Ghz right now with 57C load temps :( kinda hot Voltage in the bios is set to 1.4V but in windows everything reads it as 1.46V while idle and 1.41V when I'm at load.
