The anandtech article suggests that the bundle option is to dissuade miners from buying all the cards... Kind of makes sense to me.

I would call a 1080 high-end personally though.. If the 1080 is midrange, then you're basically saying that there are only 3 high end cards.. 1080ti, Titan Xp & Titan X pascal?.. I'd call midrange more like 1060, 1070, rx580 type cards. I'm just saying the scale of low-mid-high doesn't make...

Ethereum GPU mining?

I'm mining Zcash.. As far as difficulty it seems really stable, doesn't seem to be rising. Zcash is waaay down in value right now as well, and still relatively profitable. With a 1080 I'm getting about 0.35 ZEC per month, not running the mining client full time. Right now 1 ZEC is worth about...

Radeon Vega Frontier Released

G-sync necessary?

I have some experience with Freesync, not sure if it's exactly the same as GSync, but from my perspective it's barely noticeable. That being said, I don't know if I'm just blind to tearing or what, but I just don't notice tearing at all. I'm running an RX480 and an Asus MG279Q (144Hz Freesync)...

HD 7850 to RX 480 8GB

I guess I have a lame sense of humor. I was using hyperbole - suggesting that if you're going to run an 8 year old OS (Windows 7) you might as well just run 15 year old OS (Windows XP). Fair enough. I understand where you're coming from. I, for one, welcome our new insect overlords. :)

While I do agree that it makes good sense to continue to support Win 7, I don't really get the Win 10 hate.. I love Windows 10, and experience zero issues using it.. When I sit down at a Win 7 box now it just feels so dated to me. Also, from a business perspective, I think you're wrong about...
