Just be careful if you plan on getting 1701AD. It says Vista not supported, which probably means Windows 7 is also not supported. So if you have a newer OS, beware.
For those on the fence with Astraweb pay as you go, they now offer 180GB for $25. I have no idea if that's a new everyday low price or a temporary sale price.
I'm a light user, so this is perfect for me.
Thanks to those who recommended astraweb, I never knew about them before this thread.
Morgot,
A+ in not available with this deal. If you have already built a few PC's just go pick up an A+ book at your local library and self-study. If you don't know your PC parts and ports like the back of your hand, go take a class or some sort of computer based training like TestOut or...
Kimchee - A+ focuses more on the hardware side of things, where MCDST focuses on the supporting of Windows users in a networked office environment.
I just passed the 70-271 today, half way to my MCDST! A+ will be next after 70-272.

For people having trouble using the SECONDSHOT code, make sure what you are trying to buy is a "collection".
I was a little bummed, because I wanted the two MCDST courses, but they are not part of a collection.
If I am wrong, please let me know.

Ericb,
Thanks for the info. I have been reading up on the A+, even though a lot of that is out of date, it's a good starting point. I think my next stop will be the MCDST. I do realize without a degree in IT (I have a BS in another field) I'm not going to be making any kind of decent...
I lost my job because of the recession. I know computers very well (on the home user/hardware side), and I would like to get a certification to prove it. I would like to get some sort of job as a technician or as a help desk person. I think the MCSE is supposed to be the first certification...

As someone asked before, what is the real world performance hit going with 667 versus 800? I remember the days where you had to have the ram equal the FSB. Now it seems like you can put it whatever you want with the modern systems. Anyone know of an article that explains all this on modern...
I lost out on this deal because I mis-typed my credit card expiration date. I got an email the day after saying the order is cancelled but I could call to "reinstate" the order. Well - I called to fix the credit card issue but they could NOT keep the date the same as the day I ordered it...
A lot of the reviews on newegg say this is a loud drive, can anyone comment on this? Is there a review somwhere which addresses how loud it is?
Thanks!

In for one case..thanks OP.
I checked the reviews on Newegg about the PSU, and it seems that there are some issues with this. Does anyone here have any experience with it? I'm looking for a nice high efficiency PSU for this case. Enermax (ELT500AWT) has a nice one with great reviews - but...
