Cessna lands on NJ Turnpike

You'd be surprised, really. The landing speed on a Cessna 152 is pretty close to freeway speed. As long as you're going with traffic, it's really not much different than a lane change. People will usually see you coming down and make space for you to merge. Nope, I've never done it, but...

It's possible that they are messing with you, but not in the way you think. They see you as (and I'm going to be honest with you here - not rude or disrespectful) a pussy. They probably see that you'd rather run home to your parents and hide rather than talking to the people you live with...

I want to buy a townhouse....

Look at the homeowners dues to make sure you can afford them on top of your mortgage. Also look into how the HOA manages dues they receive. If anything major goes wrong and the HOA doesn't have enough money to cover it, you'll get a bill for your share. I've heard plenty of horror stories...

Oh noes, the humanities.... If there's an emergency, they could always (old fogey voice) do what we did back in 'ol '96... Call the school office and have them page you. Yep, it's possible to get ahold of someone in an emergency without a cell phone when you know where they are. :confused:

Common sense that you should just get a job you don't like so you can do the things you enjoy? A little forethought can take you into a job you enjoy that also allows you to do the things you enjoy. But god forbid a real job could be enjoyable or fulfilling.

Speed Limit Enforced by Aircraft Stories?

I have no clue about how often it's enforced, but I doubt they do it very often. I tend to think they rely on the fact that freeways make great visual reference points for private pilots, so you end up with a proportionally larger number of small aircraft over freeways. Send up a spotter...
