Correct, I'm quite positive that I connected the ports on the front to the motherboard. But in that case, it makes complete sense that it would be disabled if the onboard audio is disabled. :( I have the X-Fi Music as noted in the topic. Your alternative is in line with what I was thinking...

Olaf, I know you have OCZ ram, but just as an FYI, Corsair's TWINX line actually goes through testing as pairs of chips and when each pair passes testing, they are packaged and sold. It makes complete sense if you bought a pair of sticks in a kit that they would want both sticks back.

Upgrading - which Intel CPU?

I was pretty sure this was the case too. Do you have any reference for this? Someone else questioned me on it and I'd like to provide a source. Particularly the "generates less heat" part. And also how the C2D's heat generation compares to current AMD chips...

Oh and would it really matter that much to spend $30 more for the 600W Seasonic PSU? If the answer isn't "it's completely unnecessary for your system to have a 600W psu", i'm gonna get the 600 instead of the 500W.

/bump for the raid0 question. Is putting 2x250gb drives in a raid0 config going to result in better performance? What about reliability? What happens if one of those drives fails? Like I said, I'm not overly familiar with the ins and outs of the spec. I've decided against the monarchcomputer...

(2) 2007WFP vs (1) 2405FPW

Exactly what I do. I just got my second 2005FPW to replace an aging 19" CRT that I was using as a second display. I have WoW on the main screen and browser, IM, vent, etc on the second screen. I couldn't imagine going back to a single display.
