i need to know the same for agp the cheap card for 1920x1080@60hz mpeg-4/3ivx/xvid etc.
i'm ordering that $29 geforce 6200 agp and will fan/clock it to death but i think the 64bit memory bus might suck too much.

i've bought 30 lcd's for work and home and i regret not going widescreen on all of them...
its funny because it seems most people didn't want widescreens so the acers went clearance/markdown way faster than square.
oh well.
well last time i checked some dell/hp/ibm models checked the rev of the card (bios) to prevent random cards being put in due to FCC Regulations.
also there are multiple sizes of the mini-pci cards in both thickness and how tall they air (the width is kinda the size of the pins).
so check...
i get occasional locks on the NFORCE3 board using my external storage 250GB. Are you saying if i bring the drive indoors (pata) i'll get more reliability? if so i'm there.
I have my NAS server lock up about once every 2 weeks. It has a brand new APC-500 on it so its not the weather :)
i think the montblanc writing action is teh sux. there are better out there for less. so if you are not doign this for the looks. You guys are certainly wasting $$.
